[Aika Auto Overseas New Car Original]
Recently, overseas media released a group of spy photos of Ford's new pure electric SUV. The new car is Ford's first model based on Volkswagen's MEB platform, and the new car is expected to debut in March 2023.

From the spy photos, it can be seen that the new car is positioned as a compact SUV, and the body size may be between the Volkswagen ID.4 and ID.6. At present, the new car is still in a state of heavy camouflage, but some design details can still be seen from spy photos. For example, the new car adopts a more rounded and full front design, and the closed grille and the shape of the lower surround can optimize the aerodynamics of the whole vehicle to a certain extent.
The relatively straight roof line provides good headroom for rear passengers, but the door handles are still traditionally designed. The rear shape is also full, and the taillights do not seem to adopt the popular through-through design.
In terms of power, the new car may be available in rear-wheel drive and four-wheel drive versions, with a maximum power of 146 horsepower to 295 horsepower, and a cruising range of between 338km and 483km.
Editor's view: Ford and Volkswagen announced cooperation in electric vehicles in 2020, including sharing the Volkswagen MEB platform, although the shared platform can help Ford quickly launch pure electric products in a short period of time, but it is extremely detrimental to Ford's electrification transformation in the long run.
