#The Great Korean War # Founding Major General, former deputy commander of the 38th Army, and acting army Yangtze Yonghui recalled in the book "The Thirty-eighth Army in Korea" that I had a war in Korea.

On the morning of November 24, 1950, MacArthur issued a special communiqué on his toes, announcing that he was about to launch a general offensive to end the Korean War in the Korean Battlefield, telling the officers: You can go home for Christmas.

Just when MacArthur was overwhelmed by the "victory", our volunteer army had completed the deployment of the Eastern and Western Fronts.

After our army lured the enemy to the predetermined area, General Peng decided to concentrate the strength of 30 divisions of 9 armies and launch a second campaign against MacArthur's east and west tiger claws on the east and west battlefields, and to concentrate 6 armies and 18 divisions on the western front as the main force.

The 42nd Army and our 38th Army, under the direct command of Deputy Commander Han Xianchu, first annihilated the 6th, 7th, and 8th divisions of Tokugawa, Ningyuan, and Monsanto, respectively.

The offensive time on the Western Front is set for dusk on the 25th and for the Evening on the 26th on the Eastern Front.

Our army had completed its preparations for the attack by November 23 in accordance with the requirements of "Shiji", and the military command post had been transferred from Tsurushou rock in the east and west of the stadium to Theosun-dong in the northeast of Tokugawa, and Deputy Commander Han Xianchu also came here with the army command post.

On the morning of October 23, Deputy Commander Han Xianchu presided over the meeting here, and the first step was to fight the puppet army, and ordered our army and a division of the 42nd Army to attack the enemy in Tokugawa.

Liang Xingchu, Liu Xiyuan, and I all held their breath, believing that our troops could win the battle, and that we were sure to complete the task of attacking Tokugawa alone, and that we did not have to disperse the strength of the 42nd Army to cooperate with us.

Comrade Liang Xingchu said heroically: "We have packed to fight Tokugawa!" Han Xianchu said doubtfully, "Can it work?" Liang Xingchu said simply, "We promise to eat the enemy of Tokugawa!" ”

At 10 o'clock on November 24, Deputy Commander Han Xianchu further revised the battle plan, determined to use the 40th Army to insert into Sumindong, Duriling, Jiuzhengli and the south, severing the connection between the US army and the pseudo-7th Division and the pseudo-8th Division.

The 38th Army aimed to encircle and annihilate the enemy pseudo-7th Division of Tokugawa, and the 42nd Army encircled and annihilated the enemy pseudo-8th Division of Ningyuan...

The pseudo-7th Division was assembled in the territory of Tokugawa, the main target of our army's attack, Tokugawa was backed by the Datong River, located in the transportation hub area, where 5 roads converged, and the east could pass through Ningyuan and Xianxing, which was the support point of MacArthur's east-west tiger's head, and its position was extremely important.

When our army captures Tokugawa, it can not only restrain the U.S. troops on the western front, but also cut off the connection between the enemy on the eastern front and the enemy on the western front, so the first battle of Tokugawa is the key battle of the campaign, and eating one of its sons can change from passive to active, and it is a battle in which the victory or defeat of the "first world war" is decided, and the leaders of several of our armies are determined to fight this battle well.

On the evening of November 24, the military command post was brightly lit all night, and for several days we were at a high level of tension, concentrating our energies, constantly understanding the enemy's situation, judging the situation, and in order to fight this battle, everyone was busy day and night, and did not get a rest.

Comrade Liang Xingchu's face looked even more emaciated, and his bloodshot eyes were tightly fixed on the map, and he was hungry and grabbed a few fried soybeans to chew.

In order to effectively fight this battle, Commander Liang Xingchu proposed sending a reconnaissance unit to go deep behind enemy lines to find out the truth.

After consultation, we decided to form an advance team of the Israeli reconnaissance company and the reconnaissance company of the 113th Division to insert itself into the enemy's rear from the combined parts of the pseudo-7th Division and the pseudo-8th Division to further understand the situation and damage the road.

After careful consideration, Comrade Liang Xingchu and we formulated a combat plan for annihilating the enemy in Tokugawa, and decided to insert itself into the enemy's rear from the enemy's joint, surround the pseudo-7th Division assembled in Tokugawa, and annihilate it in one fell swoop.

The 113th Division was ordered to penetrate south of Tokugawa via Tokugawa to the north and south of the Tokugawa Mountains, cutting off the enemy's rear road, and then attacking to Theogawa from the south; the 112th Division was inserted into Unmatsuri via the west of Tokugawa, and then attacking to Tokugawa from the west; and the 114th Division attacked from the front facing Theokgawa.

Comrade Liang Xingchu drew a circle around the Tokugawa on the map, firmly encircled the pseudo-7th Division in the middle, and then put down his pencil and said firmly:

"Wipe it out completely and cleanly!"

In order to really fight this battle well, in addition to the 112th Division stationed far away and transmitted by telegram, Comrade Liang Xingchu summoned The 113th Division's Yangtze River Chao and the 114th Division's commander Zhai Zhongyu to the Army Station and issued a combat mission in person.

He also entrusted me and Deputy Director Wang Shujun to go to the 114th Division and the 113th Division to participate in the command, respectively.

After accepting the task, Wang Shujun took the staff and guards to touch it all night, and only found the command post of the 113th Division at dawn.

When I walked out of the command post with the commander's combat intent and rushed to the fore finger of the 114th Division, the cannon rumbled, the gunfire was fierce, the tracer shells flew in the night sky, and I looked up at the silver full moon and had a premonition that a battle that shocked China and foreign countries was about to begin.

The above is based on the content of the book "The Thirty-Eighth Army in Korea" written by General Jiang Yonghui personally experienced the Korean War, which shows in great detail the unknown details of the war of the "Long Live Army" and is worth recommending. (To be continued) #38军在朝鲜 #
