North America is now becoming less and less secure. My family doctor helped me make an appointment for a cardiac ultrasound at 9 a.m. on January 31, and I felt very embarrassed! Why? Vancouver winter is only dawn at 8 a.m., and if I want to go out after dawn to take the bus, I may be late!
So get out at 7:30 a.m.? On a sunny day, this time has just been dark, but I live in the ancient mansion area, afraid of encountering coyotes! Most mainly, even if I walk to Granville, the main road for 3 minutes, take R4, to main (Mian Street) to turn to the No. 3 bus, this main street is not safe, it is located in the dividing line between Vancouver's West End and East End, repeatedly reported that there are women being touched by passers-by, but the bad guys did not catch it! Luckily, I had all the best on the 31st!
Unexpectedly, on the same day with our Vancouver 2-3 hours drive to Seattle, at 6 p.m. near the residential street, Amazon's Chinese female engineer came home from work, and was attacked by an African-American boy near her home, he did not know her, no revenge, but he was a random crime, with a baseball bat he carried directly hit her in the head! Another random crime!
Back on the first day of the Chinese New Year last year, I was also the doctor who helped me to take the left arm ultrasound at noon to Chinatown. At about 1 o'clock in the afternoon, after taking the ultrasound, I sneaked to Zhongshan Park next to the testing station to take a photo, and suddenly I was intercepted by a tall black man, only to see that he was carrying a backpack and an iron rod hanging from his right shoulder, angrily preventing me from taking pictures. I calmed down, knowing that I couldn't run him, and I could only fight for wisdom. During the conversation, he showed me the knife wound on his arm, said that somewhere was pierced by a gun, etc., and finally took advantage of his relaxation before I took the opportunity to escape! In hindsight, it's a blessing to think back! Later, I checked the video and found that he had quietly passed through the parking lot opposite the park, no wonder I didn't find him! After returning home, I also wrote a headline, and I can look it up by turning it forward!
