The 9th China Beijing International Art Biennale, which is being held in 2022, uses all the venues of the museum. As soon as the audience enters the art museum, they will be attracted by the huge oil painting "Sports Power, Dream Stirring", which runs through the whole painting, and the light is left and right by a Chinese and American table tennis player. For this beam of light, the painter Wang Xuexian said that it can be understood as the light of life of sports and the axis of time of history; it can also be embodied as a microcosm of China's ping-pong diplomacy.
The whole painting has a total of 358 figures and 16 space-time scenes. "[This painting] not only intuitively shows our sports development yesterday, today and tomorrow, but also further shows the inheritance of Chinese sports spirit and the excitement of the dream of a sports power." The world is not black and white, it should be colorful. The main theme of the whole painting has always adhered to the position of 'peace and win-win'. He said.

The painter Li Hongjun is from Heilongjiang and has formed a deep relationship with ice and snow since he was a child. His Chinese painting "Light of Life" from traditional ice and snow sports to Winter Olympic venues and competition scenes, from national fitness to the moment when Olympic athletes win the championship, under the light of the Winter Olympic emblem, Chinese and Western athletes show their glory, and the two goddesses in Chinese and Greek mythology who are in charge of frost and snow and victory are listed on both sides of the emblem, reflecting the spirit of unity and fraternity in building a community with a shared future for mankind.
As one of the general curators of the Biennale, Wu Weishan, director of the National Art Museum of China, pointed out that the theme of this biennale, "Light of Life", refers to both the light of sports and the light of visual art. "Movement is the bright light of life, and art is the bright color of life", which is the meaning of the theme.
Corresponding to the "double Olympic" city of Beijing, the Beijing Biennale is also holding hands with the Olympics again. The theme of the third Beijing Biennale, which coincided with the 2008 Beijing Olympics, was "Colour and the Olympics". This year's Beijing Biennale not only continues the artistic diversification orientation of "color and the Olympics", but also focuses on the anti-epidemic spirit and the Olympic spirit - the two spirits are highly compatible, and embody the value, dignity, energy and brilliance of human life.

The Art Museum of the National Academy of Painting of China is exhibiting 201 works created by the theme of the Beijing Winter Olympics, including the Chinese painting "Fast and Furious", which depicts the wonderful moments of short-track speed skating, and the sculpture "Wind and Snow Flying - Snowboarding" that freezes athletes "flying" at the highest point...
A total of 201 selected works were newly created, including 101 works of art and 100 works of calligraphy. It is actively participated by all the artists of the National Academy of Painting of China, and well-known artists are widely invited across the country to create themes around the Winter Olympics. Covering Chinese painting, oil painting, printmaking, sculpture, calligraphy, seal engraving and other art disciplines, and all of them are the latest large-scale creations to express the theme of the Winter Olympics in 2021, and have been strictly evaluated by the Art Committee of the National Academy of Painting of China to ensure the high quality of the exhibition.
The exhibition covers all categories of painting and calligraphy, not only works showing the competitive scenes of athletes, but also a large number of Winter Olympic works about the people's sports life, expressing good wishes for the ice and snow Olympics.
