Born in July 1955 in Jinhua, Zhejiang Province, Li Shusheng graduated from Nanjing University, a member of the China Democratic League, and a disciple of the famous art critic and calligrapher Zheng Zhusan. He is currently the executive dean of the Zhejiang Branch of the China Wang Xizhi Calligraphy and Painting Art Research Institute, a professor of the Beijing Jinghua Academy of Fine Arts, a researcher of the Calligraphy and Painting Research Institute of Zhejiang Media College, a national first-class artist, a member of the Chinese Calligraphers Association, a judge of the Zhejiang Calligraphy Examination Center of the Chinese Calligraphers Association, the chief researcher of the Zheng Zhusan Art Center, and the cultural consultant of the Jinhua Zhizhi Temple Calligraphy and Painting Association.
