1. Objective data
This project mainly shows the performance of the new car in terms of commerciality in the form of objective data through field tests of 12 items such as body technology, paint film level, interior air quality, vibration and noise, parking radar and lighting/vision.
In the body process testing session, a total of 10 key parts of the vehicle are selected, and 3 key points are selected for measurement in each key part to evaluate the uniformity of the gaps in each key part. Judging from the test results, the uniformity of the key point gap data on the right side of the 2022 FAW Besturn T99 is significantly higher than that on the left side, especially in the engine hatch and trunk. At the same time, due to the one-piece design of the engine hatch, although the gap value will be large, it is a good visual effect to avoid this. On the whole, the overall body process performance of the car is relatively decent, and there is a certain room for improvement.
In the paint film level test, through the test results, it can be found that the average thickness of the vehicle paint film of the 2022 FAW Besturn T99 is about 228.3 μm, which exceeds the standard value of the high-end car. Judging from the test data of each key part, the average thickness of the paint film at all test points exceeded 200 μm, which was quite excellent and belonged to the upstream level in the same class of models tested.
In the in-vehicle air quality testing link, the vehicle is placed in the internal ground parking lot with fewer vehicles, and the formaldehyde component is not detected in the 2022 FAW Besturn T99 vehicle, and the content of inhalable particulate matter is also low, which is in line with the relevant standards in the "Guidelines for Air Quality Evaluation in Passenger Vehicles" (National Standard of the People's Republic of China GB/T 27630-2011) jointly issued by the former Ministry of Environmental Protection and the State Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine since March 1, 2012.
In the static noise test, the 2022 FAW Besturn T99 measured 30dB in the vehicle noise value at rest, reaching the lowest value of the test instrument. In the air conditioning noise test, the test instrument is placed at a position of about 10cm from the air conditioner outlet, and then the air conditioning air volume is adjusted from small to large, and the noise value of the driver's position in different gears is measured. After actual measurement, the air conditioning volume of FAW Besturn T99 has a total of 7 gears, the noise value of the air volume is 42.4dB when the air volume is in the starting gear, and the measured noise value is 68.7dB when the highest grade is opened, and the overall noise value is small, which is at an average level compared with the tested models of the same level.
After actual measurement, in the idle state, the 2022 FAW Besturn T99 has a general performance for the vibration suppression of the engine into the car, and the data measured at the steering wheel test point in the two states of idle speed and air conditioning load are about 0.4mm/s and 0.6mm/s, respectively, while the data measured by the front/rear seats in both states is about 0.4mm/s, and it is always relatively close, but the overall test results are in the lower middle level of the same level of models.
In addition, we tested parking radar, lights/vision, control systems, tire hubs, sunroofs, seats, and trunks. After actual testing, the seats of the 2022 FAW Besturn T99 have softer padding and are comfortable to ride. The large open-view sunroof not only accelerates the flow of air in the car, but also greatly enhances the sense of openness of the rear passengers. Second, subjective feelings
The project was subjectively evaluated by a number of reviewers on the actual performance of the new car in terms of static and dynamics. Among them, the static aspect includes four parts: exterior, interior, space and human-computer interaction; the dynamic aspect includes acceleration, braking, steering, driving experience and driving safety. Finally, the total score is given with reference to the subjective evaluation opinions given by the judges, so as to reflect the actual performance of the new car in terms of commerciality from the perspective of subjective feelings.
In the external feeling evaluation, the 2022 FAW Besturn T99 tested this time is the secondary top version, which supports rich practical functions. The electric tailgate with high memory function supports kick induction opening and closing, the sensor trigger point position is left, the induction sensitivity is low and there is no waiting time and sound prompt when opening. At the same time, the sensing mechanism of the electric tailgate anti-pinch system is also not very sensitive, and special attention is required when using it.
In addition, in terms of engine compartment opening, engine compartment internal layout and configuration, the 2022 FAW Besturn T99 performed well. The engine hatch is equipped with dual hydraulic support bars for easy operation and easy opening. At the same time, the interior of the engine hatch is also equipped with sound insulation cotton, which is of moderate size and can effectively prevent the high temperature of the engine from affecting the paint.
In the interior part, the Pentium T99 adopts a horizontal layered layout structure, supplemented by a large number of leather wrapping with stitching decoration, which is very high-end. The air conditioning panel is a touch screen, which effectively enhances the atmosphere of technology in the car, but reflective phenomenon occurs when the sun is direct.
During the experience, the expert jury also found that the 2022 FAW Besturn T99 had a loose adjustment knob in the exterior mirror, a misalignment of the trim in the triangle area of the main driving side window, and a small storage slot in the rear door panel. At the same time, the electronic barrier is also accompanied by abnormal noise during operation, which shows that it has more problems in the assembly process.
In terms of seating space, the 2022 FAW Besturn T99 thanks to its large body size and wheelbase, the riding space is very generous, even if it is fully loaded, there will be no squeeze feeling, ensuring the comfort of every passenger. However, the rear seats of the car are fixed design, and the backrest angle cannot be adjusted, which is a slight pity.
In terms of multimedia systems, the 2022 FAW Besturn T99 series is equipped with a standard 12.3-inch floating touch screen, built-in D-life intelligent control system, rich in functions, covering entertainment, navigation and other functions, and relying on the Internet can also meet a variety of travel scenarios such as food, movies, hotels, attractions and so on.
In terms of human-computer interaction, the voice function cannot be connected to the 4G network due to the test drive, and some functions are limited, and only a few simple functions can be realized, and the actual experience effect is not good.
In terms of dynamics, the 2022 FAW Besturn T99, which was test-driven this time, is equipped with a 2.0T engine, matching a 6-speed manual transmission. The power performance is biased towards comfort, the throttle response speed is more sensitive, and the transmission shift speed is not fast, but it is better than the slight action, and it is almost impossible to detect its working state without careful observation. Wanting to accelerate and press the accelerator with all its might, this powertrain pushes the huge body without any effort, although it is difficult to talk about passion, but it is indeed very much in line with its model positioning.
In terms of braking performance, the braking force release of the 2022 FAW Besturn T99 is linear and easy to grasp. At the same time, with the continuous compression of the brake pedal travel, the braking force will gradually increase, but it will not bring an abrupt feeling to the driver, and the braking smoothness can be ensured when driving daily.
The steering sensation is in line with the expectations of the expert jury, and the steering force is too heavy, which can create a feeling of driving a big car, especially the stability at high speeds, which can give the driver full confidence. When moving the car at low speed, the feel of the steering wheel will not feel too heavy, and it is still relatively easy to complete large movements such as U-turns.
In terms of driving experience, the 2022 FAW Besturn T99 adopts the common front McPherson + rear multi-link independent suspension combination, and the soft suspension adjustment is matched with a longer wheelbase and wheelbase, which has the ability to resolve most of the road bumps in the hardware. Based on the above test results, it was concluded that the 2022 FAW Besturn T99 basically met the expectations of the expert jury in terms of objective data and subjective feelings. At the objective data level, the paint film spray thickness performed excellently, and the uniform value of the paint film thickness of all test points exceeded 200 μm, but in terms of body technology, the suture value at the engine hatch was obviously larger, and the uniformity of the whole vehicle also had obvious room for improvement, of course, individual reasons for test driving were not excluded. At the subjective level, the smooth power performance and comfortable riding experience are very in line with the positioning of its flagship SUV, but there are misalignments and abnormal noises in the assembly process in the car, and the practicality of the storage space also has some small problems, which urgently need to be deeply optimized. On the whole, the commercial performance of the 2022 FAW Besturn T99 is at a lower middle level among the tested models of the same level.
