Under the guidance of the Propaganda Department of the Shanghai Municipal CPC Committee and the Party History Research Office of the Shanghai Municipal CPC Committee, and jointly organized by the First Memorial Hall of the CPC, the Shanghai Library and the Shanghai Research Center for the Great Founding Spirit of the Communist Party of China, the large-scale original exhibition "Great Spirit Casts the Great Era - Special Exhibition on the Great Founding Spirit of the Communist Party of China" will be exhibited in the second exhibition hall of the West District of shanghai library from January 25, 2022, and is scheduled to be exhibited until April 30.

This exhibition is the first large-scale special exhibition in China with the theme of "The Great Spirit of Party Building". The exhibition is divided into five sections:

The first part introduces the background and process of the founding of the Communist Party of China, and shows the background of the times, theoretical sources and practical foundations for the formation of the great founding spirit of the Party.

Through the display of a series of spirits such as the spirit of Jinggangshan, the spirit of the Soviet Union, the spirit of the Long March, the spirit of the Zunyi Conference, the spirit of Yan'an, the spirit of the War of Resistance, and the spirit of Xibaipo, the second part shows that the party has led the people to fight in bloody battles and persevere, and has created great achievements in the new democratic revolution.

Through the interpretation of a series of spirits such as the spirit of confrontation with the United States and aid to Korea, the spirit of the Red Flag Canal, the spirit of Daqing, the spirit of Lei Feng, and the spirit of Jiao Yulu, the third part shows that the party has led the people to rely on themselves, work hard to become stronger, and create great achievements in socialist revolution and construction.

Through the portrayal of a series of spirits such as the spirit of reform and opening up, the spirit of special zones, the spirit of labor models, the spirit of women's volleyball, the spirit of fighting floods, the spirit of fighting SARS, and the spirit of earthquake relief, the fourth part praises the CPC's emancipation of the mind, forge ahead, and create great achievements in reform, opening up, and socialist modernization.

The fifth part praises the great achievements of the Communist Party of China in self-confidence, self-improvement, integrity and innovation, and the creation of socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era by displaying the spirit of poverty alleviation, the spirit of fighting the epidemic, the spirit of manned space flight, the spirit of lunar exploration, the spirit of Beidou in the new era, and the spirit of the Silk Road.

100 precious historical documents before and after the founding of the party were unveiled

The exhibition is diverse. For example, in the second part of the Spirit of Xibaipo, the organizers use an imagery sand table and a large battle schematic map background to jointly express the grand image of the Party Central Committee in the small mountain village of Xibaipo that "in the midst of planning, decisive victory thousands of miles away". Another example is the Daqing spirit in the third part, the organizers set up an experiential interactive device with ice water screw valves, and the audience experienced the hardships of Daqing workers in extremely cold conditions through personal experience.

In this exhibition, a major memorial hall of the Communist Party of China and the Shanghai Library joined hands to produce a total of 170 pieces (sets) of cultural relics and documents. As soon as you enter the door, a large display cabinet comes into view, and 100 precious historical documents before and after the founding of the party lead the audience back to the founding years of the party around 1921. There is also Cai Hesen's lecture notes "History of Social Evolution" in the Department of Sociology of Shanghai University; Mao Zedong's important works "Report on the Investigation of the Peasant Movement in Hunan", "Why Can China's Red Regime Exist?" "The Spark of a Spark Can Burn the Plains," "On Protracted War," "Transforming Our Study," "Rectifying the Party's Work Style," and "Eight Shares of the Opposition Party"; the flag of the First Regiment of the First Division of the First Army of the Chinese Workers' and Peasants' Revolutionary Army; the red army bag cloth with six points of attention written on it; the Chinese paintings "Climbing the Snowy Mountain" and "Crossing the Meadow" created by Wang Guanqing, Ying Yeping, He Youzhi, and others in 1960; Zhongshan suit when Ren Bi was in the Xibaipo period; Li Zengxiang, the pilot of the Shanghai Branch during the Period of the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea, shot down the rifle of the US aircraft, shell casings and food cans for the volunteer army. Vases, huqins, and peace pigeons made of the wreckage of enemy planes; medals for model workers from all walks of life in Shanghai in the 1950s; speeches by model workers Huang Baomei; and small flat shoulders used by Yang Huaiyuan.

Xue Feng, secretary of the party committee and director of the CPC's first major memorial hall, said that this exhibition is also the first appearance of the "special exhibition of the great party building spirit and the national tour exhibition", "We will also fully link the red venues in the country, plan to cooperate with the first batch of great spirit locations to create large-scale special exhibitions, medium-sized conventional exhibitions, small vehicle mobile exhibitions, etc., vigorously disseminate the great party building spirit, study and explain the great party building spirit, deeply explore the red resources, and greet the victory of the party's twenty major events with practical actions." ”
