"Moving smart electric vehicles forward"

I got the news from a friend that "A Book to Understand Unmanned Driving" has been included in the collection of the Shanghai Library, and in addition to being flattered, I also confirmed with friends of the Chemical Industry Publishing House that the book will continue to be promoted to major libraries and universities.

According to the previous Easter egg, fans and friends who have always supported our public account will receive new books next week.

Taking this opportunity, another author of this book, Lu Shengyun, who has been working in the automotive industry for more than 20 years, from his own transformation experience, also wants to talk to readers about the needs of automotive talents under the changes in the industry, and it is completely possible to combine technology with entrepreneurship, investment and consulting.

Since studying at the Automotive College of Tongji University in 2001, he has been studying and working in the automotive field for more than 20 years. 20 years for the automotive industry, not a veteran, I also push myself every day, with a "zero" and "curious" mentality to face each new challenge.

When studying in Europe, most of the international students came from the top universities in China, mainly from technical backgrounds; later, when working in Europe, students were naturally assigned to the research and development department of large factories.

After all, the automotive industry driven by the internal combustion engine is a complex and sophisticated industry, and even the automotive industry represents the level of a country's manufacturing industry to a certain extent.

Therefore, I have always advocated knowledge sharing among international students, so that more friends can have a big picture of the industry as a whole (which may be one of the reasons why I turned to consulting later).

With Yang Kuan, Wang Kun, and Huang Xiaowei, we discussed for a long time and finally agreed that the ideal way to share was to have your own books or magazines. After all, only words can break through the limitations of time and space, and when we return to china to serve the country in the future, we can also benefit the future students.

Therefore, working with Yang Kuan on this book is a very "natural" thing from this point of view.

In the process of writing the book, I received a lot of attention from friends in the automotive industry and education. The leaders and brothers of Roland Berger, Zhang Junyi, and Professor Zhang Lijun, the dean of Tongji Automobile Academy, are also deeply grateful to them.

If I had to make a summary of the past 20 years, I would summarize the first 10 years as "development" and the last 10 years as "subversion".

In the course of these 20 years, we have witnessed the vigorous development of China's automotive industry and the pride of being a Chinese automaker: from a million to a new car market of tens of millions of vehicles, and finally surpassed the United States to become the world's first car market; from the "plagiarism" criticized by European manufacturers, to Geely and Dongfeng through acquisitions and shares to the international stage; today, Weilai, Xiaopeng, Great Wall and other new Chinese forces have increased Their European weight, and China's automotive industry has stepped onto a new stage and a new stage.

While we are proud of our achievements, in fact, as the "young and middle-aged" in the automotive industry, we are also facing the challenge of being subverted. The electrification of cars has become clearer, and the traditional internal combustion engine will eventually retire from the stage of history, just like the decline of diesel vehicles in Europe.

At this critical time node, the publication of this book can also better allow us to make a summary of the past, so as to better clarify our own ideas, clarify our own development goals, and plan our career development.

I believe that many friends who read this public name are friends who are persistent and pursuing automotive technology, and the development speed of the entire automotive industry will exceed the imagination of every practitioner.

Combined with my own experience, I would like to make some personal suggestions to friends who pay attention to this public name:

First, the current transformation of the automotive industry has become more and more biased towards "hard technology", so friends are on the right path. "The sword blade comes from the grinding, and the plum blossom fragrance comes from the bitter cold", everyone should be prepared to grind a sword for ten years, from the accumulation of quantity to the breakthrough change of quality.

Second, based on my personal observations, whether it is the consulting or investment industry, the demand for compound talents is becoming more and more intense. For friends who already have the accumulation of technology, they should continue to insist on their own road; at the same time, maintain a certain sense of smell for the business environment, and do not fall in front of the finish line. I firmly believe in the "ten thousand hours" theory.

Third, the development of the current automotive industry also requires us to maintain the spirit of learning at all times, and at the same time to maintain "zero" and "curiosity". Roland Berger's former brother often referred to himself as a "primary school student in the consulting industry". I think it's not an overly modesty, it's about pushing yourself to stay "curious."

In the process of being an independent consultant to Chinese start-ups, I also deeply realized that technical talents are the "1" of a company.

The Chinese government is also encouraging More Chinese "specialized and specialized" enterprises, through policy inclination, adopting the Model of German Manufacturing, and striving to do fine and new in the subdivision field; so as to better solve the problem of "card neck".

For me, the key to the breakthrough lies in our own talent advantages, talent reserves and scientific research capabilities. In those core sensitive areas, the "buy, buy, buy" model may no longer work.

Therefore, the technical talents of China's automotive industry will eventually become a scarce resource in the market.

With this article, I encourage my colleagues who work together in this industry!
