Chen Youjian launched the new LOGO in Shanghai Library

Founded in 1952 and opened to the public in December 1996, Shanghai Library (Shanghai Institute of Science and Technology Information) has a total of more than 56 million books, newspapers and materials, making it the largest library in Shanghai. On February 22, Shanghai Library announced the launch of a new LOGO.

The new LOGO continues the triangular appearance of the original target, and forms the image of the open book with curved lines, and the small V-shape at the top position is like a bird flying out of the book, implying that Shanghai Library will inherit the successful experience of the past and embrace the wisdom of the future.

The graphic structure is symmetrical left and right, in which two shades of blue are presented, such as birds perched on trees illuminated by the sun, implying that the Shanghai Library will strive to promote the coordinated development of the library and the East Library, taking into account public reading promotion and professional graphic services, and creating an inclusive environment for people of all ages and diverse knowledge needs.

It is understood that the new LOGO of the Shanghai Library is operated by Chen Youjian, a famous designer in Hong Kong, China, and the whole visual recognition system is completed by designer Shen Haopeng.
