Today's Lingnan region refers to Guangdong Province, and in ancient times, it included Guangdong, Guangxi and Hunan. After Qin Shi Huang unified the Six Kingdoms, he began to pacify the Baiyue land in Lingnan, and later established Nanhai County in the city of Panyu in present-day Guangzhou, and appointed Ren Hu as the governor of the county.
In the last years of the Qin and Han Dynasties, Liu Bang and Xiang Yu rose up, and the whole country was in chaos. At this time, Ren Huan was seriously ill, and urgently summoned Zhao Tuo of Longchuan County, ordered him to administer Nanhai County on his behalf, and suggested that he himself be proclaimed emperor. After the fall of the Qin Dynasty, Zhao Tuo established the State of Nanyue and proclaimed himself the "King of Nanyue".
Later, after Liu Bang established the Han Dynasty, the State of Nanyue became the first vassal state of the Han Dynasty. However, at the same time, the king of Nanyue also ushered in an "uninvited guest", he was the youngest son of the Han Dynasty general Han Xin, Han Yi, who did not expect that hundreds of years later, Han Yi's descendants would become a large clan of scholars in the Lingnan region.

Han Xin, whom Huai Cai did not meet
Why did the King of Nanyue get involved with Han Xin's son Han Xuan? This has to start with Han Xin when he was young. Han Xin has been a bitter child since he was a child, he has no foundation and connections in society, and he relies on his own strength to break through the rivers and lakes.
He was a helpless man who lived every day by eating other people's leftovers. After his mother's death, Han Xin was cared for by the chief of the Nanchang pavilion, and often went to his house to eat idle meals, but he was disgusted by the wife of the chief of the pavilion, and Han Xin, who was snubbed, left in a fit of anger.
One day Han Xin was fishing by the lake and was seen by a big lady who washed clothes, and the big lady thought he was pitiful and gave him a bowl of rice. Han Xin cried while eating, "When I have a trace, I will repay you." Who knew that the eldest lady said angrily: "A big man can't support himself, I count on you"?
This sentence completely woke up Han Xin, and he felt that he could not continue like this, so he packed his bags and went to Xiangliang. At first, Han Xin went to the army just to have a place to eat, so he was always an obscure creep.
Later, after Xiang Liang was defeated by Xiang Yu, he returned to Xiang Yu with his army. At this time, his talent slowly appeared, and he gave Xiang Yu a lang in the army, and gave him advice many times, but Xiang Yu did not accept it. After many times, Han Xin felt that he did not meet him, so he left.
Leaving Xiang Yu, he switched to Liu Bang's command, but he was still a small person with no name. At this time, Liu Bang had been crowned king of Han by Xiang Yu and sat in the Area of Chang'an.
Han Xin was in charge of managing the warehouse in the barracks, and later he could not resist the instigation of the military people to flee one after another, but he did not expect to be arrested halfway back, and if he fled the barracks without permission, he would be killed according to military law.
The thirteen people in front of Han Xin were all decapitated, and when it was his turn, he shouted anxiously, "Isn't the King of Han going to take over the world?" To kill the mighty here." Xiahou Infant, who was in charge of the execution, saw that he was surprised and recommended him to Xiao He.
At Xiao He's recommendation, he met Liu Bang, but after Liu Bang saw Han Xin, he felt that he was nothing special and only gave him a position in charge of grain. The depressed Han Xin once again chose to flee, but Xiao He admired him very much and chased him back overnight.
Liu Bang was surprised that a little Han Xin could make his chancellor value it so much. After several conversations, he felt that Han Xin was not simple, so he immediately sealed him as a great general.
Sharp edge
Liu Bang was able to establish the Great Han in large part because of Han Xin. Before that, he did not reuse Han Xin until Xiao He said: "If the king wants to seize the world, it is not Han Xin who does not use it", liu Bang began to appoint Han Xin, from a nameless young man to a great general overnight, I am afraid that only Han Xin.
However, from the later stage, Liu Bang's appointment of Han Xin was a very correct choice. Han Xin gave Liu Bang a lot of good strategies for governing the country and security, and Liu Bang was used one by one, and finally he could gradually compete with Xiang Yu.
In 206 BC, the Battle of Chu and Han broke out, and Liu Bang adopted Han Xin's strategy of "Ming Xiu Zhan Dao and Darkness Chen Cang" to pacify the land of the Three Qins, and won the first Chu-Han war for the Han Dynasty.
Soon Liu Bang asked Han Xin to lead troops to attack the State of Wei, and Han Xin set up many suspicious soldiers and pretended to cross the river, and at once attacked the capital of the State of Wei, captured the Leopard of the King of Wei, and pacified the State of Wei. Subsequently, he led an army of 200,000 people to the east to destroy the State of Zhao and captured King Xie of Zhao.
Han Xin's successive victories made him a brave general under Liu Bang, Han Xin was a civilian, he had not even read military books, but he was so skilled in the use of soldiers, even Liu Bang could not help but often praise him, and often lamented that he did not look at the wrong person.
After attacking the State of Wei and the State of Zhao, Han Xin led his troops to destroy the State of Yan and the State of Pingding. After pacifying the State of Qi, Han Xin wrote to Liu Bang that the State of Qi was a cunning state and bordered the State of Chu, and in order to prevent them from rebelling, he proposed the establishment of an acting monarch.
Liu Bang was very angry after reading the letter, and felt that Han Xin wanted to establish himself as king, so he pushed Han Xin along the water and made Han Xin the King of Qi, and asked him to send troops to attack Xiang Yu. At that time, Liu Bang's troops were 400,000, and Xiang Yu was only 100,000, and under the disparity in strength, Xiang Yu retreated in defeat and finally retreated to the barrier, and then the Han army surrounded him.
In the middle of the night, Han Xin asked people to make a kite out of cowhide and tie a bamboo flute, and after the kite took off, the bamboo flute blew out a desolate tone, and then let the Han army sing the Chu Kingdom. The song spread to Xiang Yu's military camp and caused the army to break up, thus completely defeating the remnants of Xiang Yu's army.
After Xiang Yu's death, Liu Bang proclaimed himself emperor and established the Great Han Dynasty. Later, because Han Xin had a good relationship with Xiang Yu's general Zhong Liyi, after Xiang Yu's defeat, Zhong Lixiao came to han xin, and at that time the two were in the Chu state, so someone informed Liu Bang that Han Xin wanted to rebel.
Liu Bang was jealous of this because Lord Gao Zhen of Han Xingong was a little jealous of this, so he took the opportunity of Tianzi's outing to inspect him and wanted to test him. Originally, Han Xin wanted to rebel in the Chu State, but there was no action. At this time, it was suggested that he kill Zhong Liyi to show his loyalty and make Liu Bang suspicious.
Zhong Liyi resented Han Xin after he knew it, so he broke it himself. Then Han Xin took his head to see Liu Bang, but unexpectedly he was tied up by Liu Bang and brought back to Luoyang. But in the end, Liu Bang did not treat him, but demoted him to the Marquis of Huaiyin.
If the child continued to live in the Great Han, it was estimated that he would be in danger of life, and after weighing it, Xiao He decided to send him to the King of Nanyue to raise.
He then pardoned the criminals and slaves in a false edict, intending to have them kill Empress Lü and the crown prince. Later, the younger brother of one of Han Xin's courtiers quietly informed Lü Hou that Han Xin was plotting rebellion. At this moment, Liu Bang was not in the palace, and Lü Hou was isolated and helpless, so she could only go to Xiao He for help.
Xiao He had the grace of knowing Han Xin and believed his words very much. Xiao He also took advantage of this to write a letter to Han Xin, lying that Liu Bang had quelled the rebellion and that Chen Feng had been killed and that a banquet was held in the palace to celebrate.
Han Xin did not doubt that he had him, and took the letter and went to the banquet, but when he stepped into the Changle Palace, as soon as the gate behind him was closed, he never came out again. After Han Xin's death, Liu Bang destroyed his three tribesmen. Xiao He, because of guilt, quietly hid Han Xin's youngest son, Han Yi, who was only three years old.
In order to hide his name, they removed his "Han" surname and changed his surname to "Wei". By the Sui and Tang dynasties, the descendants of this "Wei" surname had developed and multiplied for 800 years, and gradually became a large family in Lingnan. Today, Merriam-Webster has a large number of residents in Guangxi.
