Zhang Dongwan
Born in Shantou, Guangdong Province, he has long been immersed in the study of traditional Techniques and Painting Theories of Chinese Painting, and also studied calligraphy. He is good at painting characters and freehand, boneless flowers and birds. In 2011, he studied at the National Advanced Seminar on Theoretical Art Research and Calligraphy and Painting Creation of Tsinghua Academy of Fine Arts under the tutelage of Professor Huo Chunyang; in 2015, he studied at the Beijing Modern Gongbi Painting Institute of the Ministry of Culture, where he studied under Wang Tiansheng, Li Kuizheng, Jiang Caiping, Jia Guangjian and other famous teachers; in 2017, he participated in the "Belt and Road" Senior Art Talents Theme Seminar held by the Cultural and Art Talent Center of the Ministry of Culture. His works have participated in and been selected for national, provincial and municipal art exhibitions for many times, and some of his works have been collected by relevant institutions in the United States, Britain, Denmark, Canada and South Korea. He is currently a contracted painter of Guangzhou International Art Fair, a member of the Chinese Women Calligraphers and Painters Association, a member of the Huo Chunyang Traditional Art Research Association of Tsinghua University in Beijing, a painter of the Beijing Modern Gongbi Painting Institute, a member of the Guangdong Calligraphers Association, the deputy director of the Flower and Bird Creation Department of the Fine Arts Research Committee of the Guangdong Cultural Society, the vice president of the Guangzhou Hairi Calligraphy and Painting Research Association, and the vice president of the Guangzhou Zilinxuan Calligraphy and Painting Institute.

When I was a child, I was very fond of painting, a flower and a fruit in my hometown, a grass and a tree, are the best objects of sketching, I remember when I was a child, there was a tall and lush lychee tree growing in front of my home, whenever the red lychee hung on the branches, it was my happiest time, the little man I tried my best to climb the stout lychee tree, tiptoeing up and extending my arms in order to pluck the red and pleasant lychee and invite it into the painting.

Overflowing lychees are drooping into the sunken fruit, the color is bright red, the form is mellow and full, and it makes people salivate. The leaves are boneless and spotted, contrasting with the delicate fruit, with a translucent color and distinct layers. The cicada stands on the branch, vivid, and exhales, as if it were a chirping sound. Cicada "ming" is equivalent to "name", "li" and "li" homophonous, meaning "fame and fortune double harvest". Although this picture is a sketch, it is rich in color, clear in layers, suitable for gathering and dispersion, and allegorical in the stillness, which is endlessly evocative.
Throughout the ages, how to paint the lychee of the danguo green leaf is both vivid and vivid and not vulgar, testing many Danqing magic hands, the structural perspective of the fruit, the interlaced form of the trunk, the dense and complex leaves, the bright and vulgar color processing, and it is not easy to paint the lychee well.
Therefore, day after day, year after year, sketching and observing again and again, I always feel that it is not satisfactory and does not get the point. In the day and night of thinking, the mind will always come up with vivid lychee pictures, there are smart birds, chirping know-how, dancing butterflies, lush and flowing green leaves, crisscrossing branches, and the string of tempting danguo...

Lychee is a four-season evergreen plant, can produce white sweet fruit, the appearance of the fruit bright red, giving people a sense of joy, everyone will regard the lychee as an auspicious plant, symbolizing "great luck". The harmonic sound of lychee is "inspirational", symbolizing the determination to pursue dreams and goals, and is suitable for gifting to friends who are preparing for preparation and exams, encouraging him to persevere in his dreams and never give up.

Lychee is one of the most precious gifts given by nature to the Lingnan region, with its beautiful color, fragrance and taste, and is known as the "King of Fruits". Lychee tree posture is beautiful, evergreen, although the appearance of the fruit is rough, but the flesh is exceptionally delicious, the flesh of the lychee is milky white, some crystal clear, some with a little yellow, gently bite a bite, sweet and refreshing, delicate and slag-free. It is said that Yang Guifei, who was favored by Emperor Tang Ming, especially loved to eat lychees, and in order to ensure that he could eat fresh and refreshing lychees, Emperor Tang Ming sent people to transport lychees from the south to Chang'an day and night, and the Tang Dynasty poet Du Mu wrote in the poem: "A red dust concubine laughs, no one knows that it is a lychee." Lo and behold, from ancient times to the present, lychees are loved by people and make people salivate.
Due to the harmonic pronunciation of the "lychee" character and the "li" character of the lychee, people often take the cracked lychee as a symbol of "great power"; the lychee hangs fruit, a tree is red, symbolizing the rich life of the red fire; the lychee is fruitful, meaning "a million profits"; the combination of lychee and chicken, and also has the meaning of "great auspiciousness", so the lychee has always been a reason why painters like to enter the painting. "A tree of red flames, great auspiciousness", from ancient times to the present, from the south to the north, from the royal family, down to the people, people who love li abound. In addition to its sweet taste and auspicious meaning, lychee is also a sweet taste memory and a strong hometown feeling of Lingnan people.
