The loss of electricity is also fuel-efficient, the oil and electricity drive switching is smooth, the pure electric mileage is long enough and can enjoy the policy dividends, which have made a group of BYD DM-i models led by Song PLUS DM-i have become fragrant, coupled with the impact of the previous chip shortage, the situation of a car that is difficult to find has not been effectively alleviated until the current year's pass.
After getting used to by-the-byd model in the past with the motor acceleration "shaking the sky and shaking the supercar", consumers finally found that the original acceleration is a floating cloud, driving smoothly and fuel-saving is the characteristics of a family car. Because of this, everyone also began to expect BYD to decentralize DM-i technology to more models, and even more is better! After Song PRO, Song PLUS, Qin PLUS, and Tang all launched the DM-i version one after another, BYD's flagship sedan, the Han, has not moved.
Han DM-i is officially declared
In the first batch of declared models of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology this year, we finally found the relevant information of BYD Han DM-i, which also means that this much-anticipated domestic flagship medium and large sedan is about to usher in its most explosive version!
From the declaration information, we can see that in addition to the slight difference in body length due to the difference in the shape of the front and rear surrounds, the body size of the Han DM-i is basically the same as the EV version and the previous DM version, and the body circumference of the 4975/1910/1495mm and the wheelbase of 2920mm are the standard medium and large sedan sizes.
Among them, the difference between the curb weight of high-end and low-end models is very large, the high counterweight is 2.2 tons, while the low-end is only 1.87 tons, from the previous DM-i model configuration distribution is not difficult to analyze, the difference between the high and low configuration of Han DM-i In addition to the difference in configuration level, there will be a huge difference in battery capacity and motor power.
In terms of appearance, the front face of Han DM-i is closer to the previous DM model, and the mesh recognition of the dot-matrix "big mouth" is very high, and the two are only distinguished by the fog light area on both sides under the bumper. At the same time, another biggest difference in DM-i models is that low-end models will provide 18-inch wheels with more "reasonable" dimensions, rather than 19-inch wheels as standard as DM and EV pure electric models, but BYD will also provide different styles of large-size wheels and higher performance brake calipers for consumers to choose.
In terms of power, the Han DM-i will use the same engine as the previously listed Tang DM-i - the 1.5T engine provides a maximum power of 102 kW (139 hp) and a maximum torque of 231 Nm.
However, it is worth noting that unlike the current Tang DM-i, which only provides a front-drive version of the model, according to the news previously exposed on the Internet, in addition to the "ordinary version" of han DM-i with a pure electric endurance of 121km, it will also provide a four-wheel drive version with a pure electric endurance of more than 200km, and the battery capacity has also "soared" to 37.6kWh, which is why the curb quality between the high and low models of Han DM-i will be so different.
Han and Tang worked together
Together with the Han DM-i declaration, there is also the Tang DM-i remodeled model, compared with the old model, the new Tang DM-i will be equipped with a larger capacity blade battery (45.8kWh), pure electric mileage has also been significantly improved.
This also means that these two BYD flagship models will usher in their own "ultimate form" in 2022, which can obviously play a powerful role in boosting BYD's impact on the high end. However, if BYD wants to hit higher sales this year, then in addition to launching more attractive products, production capacity will also be a key problem that they urgently need to solve, after all, BYD DM-i "pick-up difficulty" is already well known to passers-by, and this kind of negative news will be a big blow to potential consumers' purchase interest.
At the same time, at the moment when many independent brands have refocused their attention back on the plug-in hybrid market, BYD DM-i models will face a lot of competition in 2022, such as the Great Wall's lemon DHT hybrid, Geely's Thor hybrid, etc., all of which are eyeing the cake in BYD's hand.
However, at present, BYD's word-of-mouth effect has begun to show results, BYD has also become the preferred brand for many consumers when choosing new energy models, as long as they do not make mistakes, then other brands want to compete with BYD, it is really not an easy task.
