Microsoft Win11 Dev Preview Build 22533 released

IT House January 13 news, Microsoft today for Dev preview users to push Win11 Build 22533 preview version. Microsoft said that this version resets the weather widget on the taskbar and has also made several improvements, ISO files click here to download.

IT House understands that the Your Phone app has introduced a new calling experience, including a new ongoing call window with updated icons, fonts, and other UI changes that align with the improved design of Windows 11.

Changes and improvements:

Updated pop-up design for hardware indicators for brightness, volume, camera privacy, camera on/off, and airplane mode to comply with Windows 11 design principles. These new eject buttons appear when the user presses the volume or brightness keys on the laptop, and will support light/dark modes, providing a more coherent Windows experience.

Users can search for voice access from the taskbar and pin voice access to the taskbar, or start and turn it on/off like other apps.

The 13 touch keyboard themes are being extended to the IME, emoji panel, and voice input (first introduced in Build 22504) to extend to all Windows Insiders in the Dev channel.

When the user presses WIN + X or right-clicks the Start icon, installed apps appear in the menu instead of Apps & features.

The Clock app already supports uninstallation.

Fixed an issue where insiders might see error 0x8007012a during driver or firmware updates.

Addresses an issue that caused insiders to sometimes be unable to sign in to some applications, such as the Feedback Hub.

Fixed the text in the Exploit Protection description in Windows Security apps so that it only refers to Windows and not Windows 10.

Fixed an issue that prevented photos from some cameras and phones from being unable to import them into the Photos app (it would always loop through the 0 items found so far).

Starting the Windows Sandbox, turning it off, and then starting it again no longer causes two Windows Sandbox icons to appear in the taskbar (one of which is not working).

Taskbar:

The Wi-Fi icon should now appear more reliably in the taskbar.

If the user has multiple monitors connected to the PC and right-clicks the date and time on the main monitor taskbar, the explorer .exe will no longer crash.

Holding down CTRL and hovering over the task view icon in the taskbar no longer causes explorer.exe to crash.

Set up:

Mitigated a potential issue related to the use of mica in Settings that affected the overall reliability of the Settings application in recent releases.

Fixed an issue that affected some internal users that caused settings to crash when trying to access installed apps, launch apps, and default app pages.

Addresses an issue that causes the mouse page in settings to crash when adding an action to an app.

If you play audio and repeatedly tap the volume slider in Quick Settings to change the volume, the user will no longer hear a crackling sound.

window:

If you hover over the window title in ALT+Tab or Task view, a tooltip now appears that shows the full window name.

input:

Improved the appearance of text colors and buttons applied to themes in candidate windows, emoji panels, and clipboards (previously, some buttons/text was difficult to see under some custom background colors).

After tapping the microphone icon to invoke voice input, the voice input initiator should not accidentally reappear.

For internal users with an updated input switcher experience, accessibility tools like Magnifier and Narrator should now be better available.

Known issues:

Start Menu:

In some cases, text may not be entered when searching from the Start menu or taskbar. If you encounter this problem, press WIN+ R on your keyboard to launch the Run dialog box, and then close it.

When you switch input methods, the taskbar sometimes flashes.

Search:

After you tap the search icon on the taskbar, the search panel may not open. If this happens, restart the Windows Explorer process and open the search panel again.

When you view a list of available Wi-Fi networks, the signal strength metric does not reflect the correct signal strength.

Settings may crash when you enter the System > show > HDR.

There is a blank entry under Bluetooth and Devices.

Widgets:

Changing the alignment of the taskbar causes the widget button to disappear from the taskbar.

When there are multiple monitors, the widget content on the taskbar may not be synchronized between the displays.

When the taskbar is left-aligned, information such as temperature is not displayed, which will be fixed in a future update.
