IT House April 27 news that the new Windows 11 search interface was rolled out to users in the April 2022 cumulative update with a feature called "Search Highlights" designed to highlight trending topics for fresh content or Bing.
Based on the Windows Latest hands-on experience, the new Windows 11 search interface has more features to view illustrations, discover news, and more, and the search interface is evolving to be more like a Start menu. For example, users can find apps on the search page without having to search for apps in the taskbar or Start menu.
However, Windows 11 search is still not well done in some basic features, such as search often does not display results correctly. When a user searches for an app, the search displays results from the network and ignores local results. This proves that integrating Bing isn't always a good feature.
Microsoft officials have acknowledged that the company is working to improve Windows Search, and one of the preview releases includes additional fixes that will speed up searches and improve accuracy.
For users who don't like the new Windows 11 search interface, you can turn off some of the Bing suggestions under Privacy and Security in Windows settings.
