IT House May 3 news that Firefox 100, the first three-digit version of Firefox, was officially released today, bringing a series of new features and improvements, including multilingual spell checking, HDR video on Mac, and hardware-accelerated AV1 video decoding on Windows.

The main updates to firefox 100 are as follows:

Spell checker: The spell checker in Firefox can now use multiple dictionaries at the same time.

AV1 codec: Hardware acceleration for av1 codecs is enabled on Windows for supported graphics cards (Intel Gen 11+, AMD RDNA 2, GeForce 30).

Scrollbar: Scrollbars no longer take up any space on Windows 11 and Linux and are hidden, and users can manually make them appear.

SHA-256: The Firefox installer uses SHA-256 signing and no longer uses the old version of SHA-1. Windows 7 users need to install the KB4474419 update to work properly.
