Now, Microsoft is announcing that it is bringing support for nested virtualization to Windows 365 cloud PCs, including a preview version of the Windows subsystem that supports Linux and Android. This means that enterprises can run Hyper-V in Hyper-V Windows 365 virtual machines and run Linux and WSA directly in it.

IT House understands that the feature will only be enabled for "certain license types", which may be the more expensive Windows 365 Enterprise Edition, but it is unclear exactly how to distinguish it. The feature, tracked as Feature ID 89004 in the Microsoft 365 Roadmap, is expected to be previewed next month and fully available in December 2022.
