Chrome for Android comes with a handy screenshot tool, and Google is adding similar features to Chrome for Windows 11, Windows 10, macOS, and ChromeOS. This looks similar to the web page snippet feature in Edge, but Google's implementation is much better.

Microsoft Edge's Web Capture Screenshot Tool only allows you to edit screenshots using Windows Inking features. Chrome's Screenshot Tool, on the other hand, which is included in the Share menu, opens screenshots in a separate window with various edit controls.

While Google began testing the screenshot editor last year, the project is far from complete, and the company is still developing a screenshot editor tool.

Users can enable the tool from the flag flag menu, but editing the page crashes immediately after taking a screenshot. To enable the feature, follow these steps:

Download Chrome Canary or Chromium.

Go to chrome://flags.

Enable the two flag flags: Desktop Screenshots and Desktop Screenshots Edit Mode.

reboot.

Once done, you can easily take a screenshot by clicking the Share button in the multifunction box. Select the screenshot button and draw the area of the screen you want to capture, then copy it to the clipboard. The screenshot will be saved to the clipboard and can be pasted into any application, such as Microsoft Paint.

Chrome will also get a smooth scrollbar for Windows 11
