Task mode switching

The taskbar refers to the "long bar" located at the bottom of the desktop, which is mainly composed of a launcher, an application icon, a tray area, system plug-ins, and so on.

In the taskbar, you can open the launcher, display the desktop, enter the workspace, or open, create, close, force quit and other operations on the above applications, and you can also set the input method, adjust the volume, connect to the Network, view the calendar, enter the shutdown interface, etc.

The taskbar offers two display modes: Stylish mode and Efficiency mode, which show different icon sizes and app window activation effects.

Set the taskbar position and height

1. Set the location

Step1: Right-click on the taskbar;

Step2: Select a direction in the Position submenu.

2. Adjust the height

Drag the edge of the taskbar with the mouse to change the height of the taskbar.

Hide the taskbar and plugins

1. Hide the taskbar

After you hide the taskbar, you can maximize the possible area of the desktop, and you can set different types of hidden states by following these actions.

Step2: In the Status submenu:

Select Always show and the taskbar will always appear on the desktop.

Select Keep Hidden and the taskbar will be hidden and will only appear when you move the mouse over the taskbar area.

Select Smart Hide, and the taskbar is automatically hidden when occupying the taskbar area.

2. Show/hide plugins

Step1: Right-click the taskbar.

Step2: Check or uncheck "Recycle Bin, Power, Show Desktop, On-Screen Keyboard, Notification Center, Multitasking View, Time, Desktop Smart Assistant" in the "Plug-ins" submenu to set the show and hide effects of these plug-ins on the taskbar.

View notifications

When there is a system or application notification, a notification message will pop up above the desktop, and you can click the button to perform the corresponding action or click to close the message.

Step1: Click the "Notifications" button on the taskbar to open the Notification Center and view all notifications.

Desktop smart assistant

Once the system is activated, you can use the desktop assistant related functions. When you first launch the Desktop Assistant, the Desktop Assistant allows you to adjust the system volume, screen brightness, and also turn power on/off power saving mode, WiFi, or Bluetooth.

1. Wake up the desktop assistant

You need to agree to the privacy agreement, and after you agree to the privacy agreement, you can use the desktop intelligent assistant normally.

Method 1: Use the shortcut Super+Q to summon the assistant dialog interface.

Method 2: Use the fixed words "Hello, Xiaohua" or "Hello, Xiaohua + Command Language" to evoke the desktop intelligent assistant and call up the assistant dialogue interface.

2. Use the desktop intelligent assistant for text input and voice input

Click the "Desktop Smart Assistant" button on the taskbar to open the Desktop Smart Assistant;

Step2: After connecting the recording device, use the voice to directly talk with the desktop intelligent assistant, such as changing the wallpaper, adjusting the screen brightness, querying information, etc.;

Step3: After the input box appears, you can also enter text instructions.

2.1 Set up speech dictation

In the control center, the voice dictation function is set by default, which is turned on by default, and this function can be turned off.

Select Chinese this input box and use the shortcut Ctrl+Alt+O to evoke voice dictation.

2.2 Set up voice reading

The voice reading function is set in the control center, and the voice reading function can only be activated after the voice reading function is enabled.

| Evoke reading: select Chinese, press the shortcut ctrl+Alt+P on the keyboard or select "Voice Reading" in the right-click menu, click to evoke reading;

| Abort aloud: If you need to interrupt aloud, click the horn icon to abort the reading, or right-click Stop Speaking.

| Replace text: If you select other text again in Speak, the speak icon appears where the most recently selected Chinese. Press a shortcut key, click the speak icon, or right-click the menu to select Speech Speak, interrupting the text being spoken in favor of the most recently selected text.

2.3 Set up the translation function

The translation function is turned on by default in the control center, and the translation function can be evoked after it is turned on.

Select Chinese, press the shortcut Ctrl+Alt+U or select "Translate" in the right-click menu to bring up the Translation floating window.

Power control interface

Enter the power control interface to perform shutdown, restart, standby, sleep, and lock operations.

Method 1. Click the "Power" button on the taskbar to enter the shutdown interface;
