Due to very high demand and the imminent start of production in Texas, Tesla is expected to continue to grow rapidly, most likely surpassing BMW sometime in 2022.

Overall, about 2.2 million premium/luxury vehicles (about 14.7% of the total) were sold in the U.S. in 2021, which means Tesla's share is already around 14%.
