Nissan Motor announced its sales results in China in 2021, including passenger cars and light commercial vehicles, and its cumulative sales volume from January to December 2021 was 1,381,494 units, down 5.2% year-on-year.
Sales of Nissan and Venucia brands decreased by 6.4% year-on-year to 1,134,889 units, of which 1,047,073 units of Nissan brand models were sold. The light commercial vehicle segment, which includes Dongfeng Motor Co., Ltd. and Zhengzhou Nissan, sold 234,309 units, up 7.8% year-on-year.
Focus on the passenger car section. The best selling is naturally the compact sedan Xuanyi, with a cumulative sales of 513,193 units throughout the year, which is a well-deserved sales responsibility and one of the best in the entire market. The mid-level car TianLai sold 163,741 units in the whole year, and the overall performance was very good, especially in December, which sold more than 20,000 units, setting a record for the best sales of bicycles. Nissan sold 312,056 SUV units throughout the year, with Qashqai selling the best, with a cumulative annual sales of 161,152 units. However, Nissan did not mention the sales data of the new generation of X-Trail, which must not be very good-looking.
Also without releasing sales data are Dongfeng Infiniti's QX50 and Q50L, the presence of the two cars in the same market has been low, and it is not known what new plans are in 2022. However, the QX60 released at the end of last year was pinned on high hopes, and the pre-sale price of 450,000-660,000 yuan was announced, and the long-criticized CVT transmission was replaced, and it is not known whether it can get a piece of the medium and large SUV market.
Venucia's performance in 2021 was also good, with 87,816 units sold in the full year, an increase of 11.6% year-on-year. Among them, Venucia Big V sold 7,008 units in December, which is the main model. In addition, the Dongfeng brand light truck series sold 155,366 units in the whole year, an increase of 3.68% year-on-year. Dongfeng Motor Co., Ltd. sold 14,207 new energy models in the whole year, an increase of 70.78% year-on-year. Zhengzhou Nissan sold 51,821 units in the whole year, an increase of 16.0% year-on-year.
