On January 6, 2022, Nissan motor officially announced its sales results for the full year of 2021 in China and the single month of December. Due to the epidemic and the shortage of raw materials, Nissan Motor China's cumulative sales from January to December 2021 (including the two major business segments of passenger cars and light commercial vehicles) totaled 1,381,494 units, down 5.2% year-on-year.
Dongfeng Motor Co., Ltd. (DFL)'s passenger car business segment (including Nissan and Venucia brands) sold 1,134,889 units, down 6.4% year-on-year, of which the cumulative sales of Japanese brand models were 1,047,073 units, the cumulative sales of Venucia brand models were 87,816 units, and the light commercial vehicle business segment (including Dongfeng Motor Co., Ltd. and Zhengzhou Nissan) sold 234,309 units, an increase of 7.8% year-on-year.

Tianlai set a record for the best sales in December and the whole year in 2021
Nissan Motor's China segment, which includes passenger cars and light commercial vehicles, sold 133,803 units in December, down 20.8% y/y and up 17% month-on-month.
The passenger car segment, which includes Nissan and Venucia brands, sold 114,093 units in December, up 18% month-on-month. Sales of Japanese brand models were 97,317 units and Venucia brand models were 16,776 units. The Tianlai, Xuanyi series, Qashqai and SUV series models, as well as Venucia D60, T60, Venucia Star, Venucia Big V and Venucia series electric models, boosted Dongfeng Nissan's sales this month.
The Xuanyi series will sell 513,193 units in 2021, which is Nissan's undisputed sales responsibility in China
The light commercial vehicle segment, which includes Dongfeng Motor Co., Ltd. and Zhengzhou Nissan, sold 18,625 units in December, down 15.9% year-on-year. Among them, Dongfeng Motor Co., Ltd. sold 12,835 units in December, down 24.4% year-on-year. Zhengzhou Nissan sold 5,790 units in December, up 12.0% year-on-year.
Specific to the models, Tianlai sold 163,741 units from January to December, an increase of 38.7% year-on-year, and sold 20,008 units in December, an increase of 24.8% year-on-year, respectively, setting the best sales records in December and January-December, respectively; the Xuanyi series sold 513,193 units in the whole year, and 50,492 units in December, an increase of 18.6% month-on-month.
Qashqai carried half of the sales of the 2021 Nissan SUV series in China
The SUV series contributed 312,056 units to Nissan in the full year and 23,175 units in December, up 5% sequentially. Among them, Qashqai sold 161,152 units in the whole year, an increase of 2.2% year-on-year, and 16,618 units in December, an increase of 23.5% month-on-month.
Venucia's cumulative sales from January to December were 87,816 units, up 11.6% year-on-year. Venucia Big V sold 7,008 units in December, Venucia D60 Series sold 2,537 units in December, Venucia T60 Series sold 1,621 units in December, VenuciaStar sold 1,549 units in December, and Venucia Series electric models sold 4,033 units in December. The full-year sales of the above models of bicycles were not announced.
Dongfeng Infiniti's models QX50 and Q50L did not disclose specific sales data, and the new QX60 launched in December last year was pinned on by Dongfeng Infiniti. In addition, the Dongfeng brand light truck series sold a total of 155,366 units from January to December, an increase of 3.68% year-on-year. Dongfeng Motor Co., Ltd.'s cumulative sales of new energy models for the whole year were 14,207 units, an increase of 70.78% year-on-year. Zhengzhou Nissan sold 51,821 units from January to December, an increase of 16.0% year-on-year.

At the same time, Yamazaki Shohei said that he was very excited and relieved to see partners, dealers and consumers for electric drive products including China's first e-POWER model, Venucia D60EV, T60 EV and other electric drive products, as well as Venucia Big V and the new generation Infiniti QX60.
