According to the plan, BYD Han will launch different versions of models such as large battery long endurance (Han DM-i) and four-wheel drive high performance version (Han DM-p), which are equipped with high-capacity power blade batteries at the beginning, with a power of 18.3kW·h or 37.6kW·h, and a comprehensive endurance of more than 1200 kilometers. Thanks to the blessing of BYD's super hybrid DM-i technology, the pure electric endurance of Han DM-i can reach 242 kilometers, and the performance of the four-wheel drive version of Han DM-p is also expected.
According to the annual sales results announced by BYD on January 4, in the past December, BYD's new energy passenger cars soared by 236.4% year-on-year to 92,823 units, breaking through the 90,000 mark for two consecutive months, once again breaking the record. This is also a new Chinese record as of now, which is 2.4 times the previous Chinese record. In December 2021, BYD EV models and DM models sold 48,317 units and 44,506 units, respectively, an increase of 148.0% and 448.6% year-on-year; in 2021, by-the-2021, by-definition EV models and DM models totaled 320,810 and 272935, an increase of 144.9% and 467.6% year-on-year.
Wang Chuanfu, chairman of BYD, once revealed that at present, BYD's DM-i platform models have up to 200,000 orders in hand, and the average delivery period of vehicles has been as long as 4 months. With the blade battery production lines of Qinghai, Xi'an and Chongqing Phase II factories put into operation, the vehicle production capacity is expected to accelerate the release, BYD said that this year's delivery is expected to reach 1.5 million vehicles.
