The new car adopts a new front face, applying the new generation of "dragon face aesthetics" design concept of Dynasty Network, the outline of the front logo background trim plate is close to that of Song L, and the new shape of the headlight group and front bumper make the entire front face styling style change greatly. The side styling is basically the same as the current model, the D-pillar is replaced with black trim, and the regular door handle is very stable.
At the rear, the "Build Your Dream" logo has been replaced with the "BYD" logo, and the rear bumper has been adjusted to make it more stylish.
In terms of dimensions, the length, width and height of the new car are 4735/1860/1700 (1710) mm, and the wheelbase is 2712 mm, which is 3 mm less than the model on sale, and other data are the same.
The interior adopts the latest style of Dynasty Network, and the through-type black trim is very textured. The 1.5-liter engine has a maximum power of 74 kilowatts, which is the same as the maximum power of the Song L DM-i and Qin L DM-i engines, but slightly lower than the maximum power of the 1.5-liter engine of the 2024 Song Pro DM-i plug-in hybrid system on sale.
In the information released by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the second-generation Song Pro DM-i only showed a range version, equipped with a lithium iron phosphate battery pack with a capacity of 18.316 kWh, a range of 93 kilometers under WLTC working conditions, and a comprehensive fuel consumption of 4.9 liters per 100 kilometers under the feeding state. In terms of body size and power form, the Hiace 05 DM-i and Song Pro DM-i will form a two-car layout in the plug-in hybrid compact SUV market.
Competitors are expected to include the Geely Galaxy L7, Changan UNI-Z PHEV, and Dongfeng Fengshen L7 PHEV. Referring to the sales data, the cumulative sales of the Song Pro DM-i in the past six months have reached 129007 units, ranking third in the compact SUV sales list, and the strength is quite strong.
Both cars have their own characteristics, the Hiace 05 DM-i has a stylish exterior and a high-tech interior; The Song Pro DM-i has a classic design and a good reputation.
