Chiping flower drum drama, also known as "flower drum swinging drama", is a kind of local small drama that gradually formed on the basis of chiping flower drum, widely absorbing sister art nutrients such as canal small music, yingge willow book, fishing drum Daoqing, etc., and comprehensively drawing on the local popular performing arts, and gradually formed a kind of local small drama, which prevailed in the late Qing Dynasty and early Ming Dynasty.

At the beginning of the formation of the Chiping Flower Drum Play, there was only one flower drum for the accompanying instrument, and one person performed multiple roles. Yangge is the fifth batch of intangible cultural heritage traditional dance extension projects in Shandong Province. Chiping Pingtong Song originated in the late Ming and early Qing dynasties, with a history of more than 400 years. The Pingtong Yangge, also known as the "Ferry Port Great Yang Song", is spread around the village of The Ferry (Bo) in Hongtun Town, Chiping District, and around Jiazhai Township.

The Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal running north and south and the official road from Jinan to Handan intersect in Hongtun Town, Pingping County, with a boat as a ferry, the name of the village is a ferry port, the official ships and merchants who come and go often gather here, when they are bored, they invite the old artists in the village to perform traditional programs, and sometimes participate in it to entertain themselves, learn from each other, and gradually form this ferry song under the witness and accompaniment of the gushing canal water.
