There are many villages in China, but there are very few villages with village history. There are more than 30 villages in the former Lanyu Township, and all I know is that Zhang Jinxian wrote a village chronicle for Xiaoli Daozhuang Village, and Wang Lingshu wrote a village chronicle for Lanyu Village. Recently, I heard that the Yujiagou Village Chronicle compiled by Wang Youwen has been printed, and I am really ecstatic.

Lanyu is the political, economic and cultural center of the whole township, it is the place where I finished my schooling, and it is also the place where I have taught, and as a person from Lanyu Township, I really have a special love for Lanyu. After breakfast on August 15, 2018, I learned that Lanyu was going to hold a "Lanyu Village Chronicle" press conference on the same day, and I couldn't wait to ride an electric bicycle to rush back to the press conference, and got a copy of "Lanyu Village Chronicle" at the meeting. After I came back, I read it a lot. The village chronicle is informative and rich in content, covering all aspects of Lanyu ancient and modern times, and is a rare rural encyclopedia. In particular, the hard work and sweat of Wang Lingshu Tian Yanqing Zhang Zhijiang and other editorial board members, the deep feelings for their hometown, and the selfless dedication to the publication of village history deeply touched me, and I couldn't help but write

In recent days, I have read Wang Lingshu Zhang Zhijiang Hao Yafeng's article (preface to Yujiagou Village Chronicle) from WeChat, and learned that the "Yujiagou Village Chronicle" compiled by Wang Youwen and others has been printed, which once again stirred my heart. I am a Shuipobei person, Yujiagou and my village are in the same Lanyugou palm, less than a kilometer apart, because of the close and close to each other, because of the small (small village) and help each other. During the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, Shuipobei was once the jurisdiction of Yujiagou Village, and my third uncle died gloriously in the Liulin Incident during the War of Resistance, and the monument in the Martyrs' Cemetery of Yushe County reads: Guo Genfu Yujiagou people. Shui po bei was completely emigrated in the 1970s, and now it is overgrown with trees and weeds, leaving only sporadic broken walls and ruins, a desolate scene. Yujiagou also relocated the whole village in 2020, and the village is gone, but Wang Youwen always wants to keep the roots of the farming culture in his hometown and pass on and carry forward the soul of folk culture from generation to generation. The spirit of writing a village chronicle for a small village of 100 people who have disappeared is really precious, and I am very touched and awe-inspired!

Yujiagou, like our village, is thick with thick stones and thin soil, and the conditions are fierce, but what makes fangyuan neighboring villages envious is the water slope Bei Yujiagou, although the village is small and talented. Yujiagou did produce a lot of talents after the 1960s, especially the Wang family. According to the old people in my village, it is because the Wang family bought a piece of feng shui treasure land of my second uncle in shuipo in the early years, and after the Wang family made a cemetery, many cultural people have successively emerged. Whether there is any truth in this is another matter, the Wang family's diligence and studiousness, I know a little bit about hard study. In 1964, I was transferred to Lanyu to finish teaching, Wang Youwen was reading the fifth grade, although I did not give them direct lessons, but the teachers often talked about Wang Youwen's study and hard work, and often studied overtime in the classroom at night, his grades were the most prominent in the class, the writing was particularly good, and they all thought that this student was a talent. In 1966, I was transferred back to The Dayan School to teach, Wang Youwen's second brother Wang Youzhen and uncle Wang Yanru from the Yujiagou Running School in my class to read the fifth and sixth grades, running back and forth twice a day, over the mountains and mountains at least more than ten miles, but rarely late, the hardships of running school I personally gave a deep understanding, the seriousness of the two people's learning was particularly impressive to me, running so many road homework can always be completed on time, the results of all subjects are excellent, especially the composition is the best written, the theme is prominent, the sentences are concise and fluent, the articles are short and concise, What a proud student of mine. In the 1980s, I was the director of the teaching office in Haobei Town, and Wang Yubin, the fourth brother of Wang Youwen, taught in Haobei Primary School, and because he was willing to learn and drill, teach mathematics and use experimental teaching methods, and his teaching results were excellent, he gave a demonstration to the teachers in the town and had a high evaluation. From these few Yujiagou Wang's family members, they found the know-how to become talents.

Wang Jinshu of Yujiagou (Wang Yanru's father, Wang Youwen's uncle) was particularly impressed with me. Although he has no culture, he has a lot of strategic energy. Yujiagou was originally a place with thick stones and thin soil and poor land, but during the period of agricultural science, Wang Jinshu led the whole village of men and women to build land at the fork of the ditch, which greatly improved the land conditions, the crops grew happily, the grain harvest was bumper, and through several years of hard work, it became the advanced production team of the county and township agricultural science Dazhai that was well-known at that time.

In our area, due to the high terrain, many villages have tight water, let alone planting vegetable gardens. Wang Jinshu opened a small vegetable garden in accordance with the conditions in his village, and carried a vegetable burden to the surrounding villages every three to five to sell vegetables. Being able to eat fresh vegetables is very rare in a remote mountain village like ours, and it is always in short supply every time, which is very popular with people.

I was also impressed by Yujiagou's songs, which included Wuyuan Lan (Wushu Team) and Xiaohua Opera. The time of the small flower play is not very long, I am not deeply impressed, but the WuYuanlan is enduring. Zhang Sanze's Guan Gong Knife and Da Shu Zi still remind me of his posture, kung fu is sophisticated, and his moves are stable and accurate. The most famous song of Yujiagou is the four-sentence song of Wang Jinshu. There is no fixed lyrics of the four-sentence song, all are improvised singing, the singer holds the ring in his hand and sings with the editor, makes up the four sentences and shakes the ring, the Drum stops singing, sings the four sentences of the Luo Drum and rises again, the singer makes up the four sentences, and then shakes the ring after the choreography, the Luo drum stops and then sings, the cycle repeats, the lyrics are adaptable, the content is close to the reality of life, and can be combined with the current situation, the fresh people or things seen on the spot can be immediately programmed, the singing voice is happy and rhythmic, the singing lyrics are funny and humorous and colloquial, with the style of folk songs, very local characteristics, Very attractive. After the village finished playing boxing on the first day of the first month, people surrounded Wang Jinshu and sang, singing for a while to let go of a paragraph, and then stopping the singing, singing for a while, until they left the village. One year, I went to Guojiao in the first month of the year to see a large group of people sending Yujiagou rice songs out of the village, and they were singing four rice songs around.

Piled into the field like a mountain.

The scene of the joy and laughter full of enthusiasm is very touching. At that time, the village of Zhengyuetian Village was bustling with joy and peace, which was really very desirable.

I have not yet read the original text of the Yujiagou Village Chronicle, but I believe that it is definitely a classic work that reproduces the historical changes of Yujiagou and will add another bright pearl to the sea of Chinese national culture.
