In the downtown area of Qinzhou District, Tianshui City, there are two Ming Dynasty official residence-style buildings across the street, which attract tourists to stop and watch because of their long history and traditional architectural form.

Ancient dwellings are immovable cultural relics, carrying the historical memory of rural China for thousands of years. Hu's residence is located on the north and south sides of Minzhu West Road in Qinzhou District, consisting of two ancient buildings, the south house and the north house, which were built in the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty and have a history of more than 400 years. Because the father and son are honest officials, there is a "father and son village sage" archway at the entrance of the street, which is praised by the local people.

On the left side of the gate of the south house, there are two thousand-year-old locust trees, the trunk is straight, the tree shape is simple and elegant, and the crown is large and thick. Under the cover of the ancient acacia, the gate of a south house with hanging flowers and black lacquer hanging on the top of the mountain stands impressively, and the three words "Vice Constitution" on the door are vigorous and powerful. Walk into the south house, pass through the hanging flower gate, enter the Guifu courtyard, the lilacs are fragrant and gorgeous, full of golden branches, gorgeous and lovely.

According to reports, the precious flowers and trees in the house are widely planted, and every spring, the houses are beautiful and fragrant, smart and vibrant. There is a door on the side of the courtyard that leads directly to the backyard. Now the east wing of the backyard restores the wedding scene of the Qinzhou official eunuchs in the Ming and Qing dynasties, the west wing restores the living and living scenes of the younger generations of the official eunuchs in the Ming and Qing dynasties, and the back hall restores the scene of the master bedroom of the folk houses in the Ming and Qing dynasties.

The East District is composed of six small courtyards, which now display various folk exhibitions such as calligraphy and painting of historical celebrities, shadow puppetry, paper-cutting, root carving, embroidery, and canes. The scale of the courtyard of the south house, the exhibition hall exhibits are the representative of the essence of Tianshui folk customs, the overall building is composed of 12 courtyards and 78 single ancient buildings, which is compatible with the characteristics of the north and south houses, the layout is rigorous and symmetrical, the main and secondary are clear, majestic and rugged and there is no lack of beauty.
