The intangible cultural heritage of the Buyi people, such as the eight-tone sitting and singing, the Buyi marriage customs, etc., is gorgeous and colorful, carrying a variety of spiritual elements and cultural symbols.
Villager Cen Limao has been learning Buyi Bayin sitting and singing with the older generation since he was young for more than 40 years, and he and the old artists in the village have formed a team to perform at traditional festivals or important events, which can not only inherit the national culture, but also increase income.
"I started to learn from the older generation in my 20s, and after studying for so many years, now every time there is a big or small thing, as long as someone shouts, we all go to perform." Cen Limao said.
