Zhang Fuming, pen name Lu Jian, is a native of Yimeng Mountain. Born in 1950 in Xitianzhuang, Junan County, Shandong Province, he joined the army in 1968 and successively held platoon, company, battalion, regimental and other positions. He graduated from the Shijiazhuang Military Education Institute in 1982 and stayed on as an art editor and photojournalist of the school magazine, and in 1994 he transferred to local work.
