A grand event of calligraphy and poetry was staged at the Zhengzhou Art Museum (New Museum). On May 12th, the lecture "Writing and Appreciation of Rhythmic Poetry" held here not only attracted the attention of many calligraphy and poetry lovers, but also became a platform for cultural and artistic exchanges.
The lecture was personally hosted by Luo Ming, director of Zhengzhou Art Museum, and specially invited Professor of the School of Calligraphy of Zhengzhou University and tutor of master's students to give a lecture in Western Chinese. Taking "What is Rhythmic Poetry", the professor of Western Chinese explained the basic rules of rhythmic poetry in simple terms, including ping, four-tone, battle, rhythmic sentences, etc., and shared the skills of how to appreciate and create rhythmic poetry. Under the guidance of Professor Xi, the audience deeply felt the close connection and mutual influence between calligraphy and metrical poetry.
Professor of Western Chinese emphasized in the lecture that classical Chinese poetry is a treasure accumulated over thousands of years of culture, and the study and appreciation of Gelu poetry, as an important part of it, requires us to have an in-depth understanding of the classic works of the ancients and master the rhythm and rhythm of ancient Chinese. He encouraged everyone to read more classics and learn to create freely within the constraints of rules, the so-called "dancing in shackles", in order to better understand the essence of metrical poetry and master its writing skills.
