Zhu Shiming, born in 1960, a native of Yinan County, Linyi City, Shandong Province, currently lives in Beijing. Graduated from the School of Fine Arts of Linyi University, he studied in the advanced research class of the China Book Association and the China Artists Association, and studied in the studio of Professor Jia Youfu of the Central Academy of Fine Arts. He is now a member of the Chinese Calligraphers Association, a member of the China Artists Association, a chief academician of the Chinese Academy of Painting in Shandong Province and Linyi City, a specially appointed painter of the Beijing Nanhai Painting Academy, and has published more than ten kinds of personal calligraphy and painting collections. For decades, he has been committed to the study, creation, teaching and exploration of Chinese calligraphy and Chinese painting. In recent years, he has begun to pay attention to and devote himself to the creation and discussion of landscape blue and white porcelain. His calligraphy and painting works have participated in several national exhibitions and national academic invitation exhibitions sponsored by the China Book Association and the China Artists Association, and have been collected by many institutions and individuals. In 2010, 2012 and 2016, he was successively named one of the 30 landscape painters with the most academic value and market potential in contemporary times. In 2014, he was named one of the 30 calligraphers with the most academic value and market potential in contemporary times.
