Creative notes: Calligraphy needs to respect the ancient first and then innovate, and the source of the ancient meaning is in the seal. I have always attached great importance to the study of seal scripts, especially the two weeks of Jin Wen and Han seals, but I am not interested in the neat and rigorous Qin Xiao seal. foolishly thought that Qin Xiaozhen was too sophisticated, boring, and lacked the lyricism it should have. Of course, this is also because Qin Xiaozhen's masterpieces "Mount Tai Carved Stone", "Yishan Carved Stone", "Langya Carved Stone" and so on have been re-engraved many times by later generations, resulting in great distortion, and it is related to its shape. But no matter what the reason is, it has affected Qin Xiaozhen's lyricism after all. What distinguishes art from technology lies in its lyricism. Art should focus more on self-expression and emotional sustenance, rather than just showing off skills. If technique is used as the main criterion for judging calligraphy works, or even the only criterion, it is to put the cart before the horse. Zhuangzi said, "If things are not in things, they will be tired and evil." We should harness the technology for our own use, not become slaves to the technique. The Han Dynasty seal script absorbed the neatness of Qin Xiaoseal, and also inherited the splendor of the Chu people (because the Han Dynasty was established by the Chu people, so the Chu culture occupies a large proportion of the Han culture. For example, the last word of the first line, "Piece", is written thin and slender, sloping down to the right, and the last two words of the second line, "Road", use the technique of increasing ink to create a heavy momentum like a cloud, tilting to the left, forming a strong contrast with "Piece".
