On May 6, the reporter came to Dang Guangyun's home, and as soon as he entered the door, he was attracted by all kinds of eggshell paintings on the living room display cabinet, these eggshell paintings were neatly arranged in the cabinet, not only the scenes of the four famous works, but also the landscape flowers and birds that expressed the artistic conception of Chinese painting, colorful and colorful, with both shapes and gods, allowing people to appreciate the unique and aesthetic artistic charm of eggshell painting.
When the reporter met Dang Guangyun, she was painting at home, and a work table by the window was neatly arranged with paintings of eggshells that were either elegant and clean, or colorful.
Dang Guangyun, 83 years old, is full of silver wire, wears reading glasses and sometimes dips ink on eggshells, and sometimes uses paint to rub and dye. In a few moments, a radiant lady appeared on the eggshell. Because it is painted on the eggshell, the portrait is more three-dimensional.
Speaking of the connection with the eggshell painting, Dang Guangyun smiled and said: "This is due to a 'beautiful encounter'. ”
Dang Guangyun said that when she was a child, she learned to cut paper with her mother, and when she grew up, she learned to paint from her brother who had art expertise, and since then she has become acquainted with art, and as soon as she has time, she will paint the mountains, rivers, insects, fish, flowers, birds, and characters she sees, and almost everything in her life will become the material for her creation. In 1989, under the influence of his mother and brother, Dang Guangyun became an art teacher and had more time and energy to draw. Once, on the way back from sending her son to school outside Xinjiang, she saw a delicate ceramic egg painting in Xi'an, with exquisite patterns, smooth brushstrokes, and colorful colors that touched her instantly. When she got home, her son-in-law brought 10 goose eggs, and she began to paint on the eggshell.

On Dang Guangyun's desk, there are books such as "Dream of the Red Chamber," "Water Margin," and "Journey to the West," as well as some pictures printed with historical figures and places of interest and historical sites. In the dead of night, she would always flip through these books and pictures to understand the wonderful world in books and paintings.
Dang Guangyun said that her favorite books are the four famous books, especially "Dream of the Red Chamber", I don't know how many times I have read it, I yearn for the flower-filled Grand View Garden, and like the well-behaved and cute girls. Therefore, she created the eggshell painting "Jinling Twelve Pieces".
Dang Guangyun painted the classical characters such as Lin Daiyu, Xue Baochao, Wang Xifeng, Shi Xiangyun, and Miao Yu in the "Twelve Pieces of Jinling" on the small eggshell through delicate brushstrokes. These twelve agile women seemed to be alive, their expressions were either delicate, or well-behaved, or gentle and virtuous, or spicy and accessible, even the lines of their skirts and the creases of the fans in their hands were clearly visible.
"'Lamentable virtue, pity for the talent.'" The jade belt is hung in the forest, and the golden hairpin is buried in the snow. This is the verdict of Lin Daiyu and Xue Baochao in "Dream of the Red Chamber", they are the most representative characters in the Twelve Noble Houses of Jinling, and they are also the characters I write and ink the most. I combined their different personality traits and carefully painted on expressions, movements, costumes, and scenes. Dang Guangyun said that it took her 5 years to create this set of works. Today, this set of works is treasured in the Sixth Division's Wujiaqu City Military Reclamation Museum.
The reporter learned from Dang Guangyun's words that drawing an eggshell painting, from the purchase of eggs to the completion of the creation of more than a dozen process procedures, how to take out the egg yolk egg white, and do not destroy the eggshell? Dang Guangyun tried many methods. Later, she figured out a set of "mouth blowing methods". She washed the shell of the egg, made a small opening on it, used her mouth to blow air in little by little, let the yolk and egg white flow out, after repeated operations, then poured water into the inner wall of the eggshell, and finally disinfected the eggshell with alcohol. After drying, use a very fine brush to outline the base on the eggshell, color... It often takes a month to 40 days for her to create a piece.
Hearing that the reporter was going to shoot the work, Dang Guangyun carefully took out a homemade rectangular box from an old cabinet, and the words "Chinese handicraft "Journey to the West" eggshell painting" were engraved in both Chinese and English. The surrounding carvings are goose egg deformation patterns, and the colors are very bright.
Inside the box are 35 eggshell paintings, which Dang Guangyun drew on goose eggshells based on the main content of each episode of the 35-episode TV series "Journey to the West". "The Monkey King was born", "The Heavenly Palace", "Gao Laozhuang", "Peach Feast"... The picture on each eggshell is novel and full of fun ideas, and the people, demons and scenes are brightly colored and vivid. The smooth lines, bright colors, and moving stories are amazing.
Inheritance
In Dang Guangyun's eyes, between the millimeters of the eggshell, he can gallop and display his talents at will. With her rich imagination and dexterous hands, she proved that a small eggshell can be a beautiful work of art, and that anything insignificant can be uniquely valuable.
"You see, this is a cut-out eggshell painting made by my daughter during this year's New Year." Dang Guangyun pointed to an eggshell painting and told this writer. On a white goose egg, carved with a cloud pattern, the use of hollowing techniques to show a sense of layering and beauty.
"My daughter has a lot of ideas, which breathes new life into eggshell painting, and I am constantly learning new knowledge." Dang Guangyun said.
As she was speaking, Dang Guangyun's apprentice Hu Caiping came to her home with painting tools.
"This is the apprentice I took in last year, she has the foundation of painting Chinese painting, she learns very quickly, and I want to pass on the art of eggshell painting to her." Dang Guangyun introduced.
"The next pen here is a little heavier, mainly highlighting the demeanor of the characters. You see, this adjustment is not more meaningful. Dang Guangyun explained the main points of painting to his apprentice Hu Caiping.
Painting on eggshells seems simple, but in fact, it is not, one stroke at a time, which extremely tests a person's patience and will quality. If you want to create a beautiful eggshell painting, every detail must be careful and serious.
"At the beginning, I took an egg, I don't know how to copy the pattern, after all, the egg is oval, I usually draw a plane, how to draw a pattern on a smooth eggshell? This is a difficult problem, I went to the teacher to discuss, tried it over and over again, and the number of drawings will be more. By constant effort, just slow down and you can draw a good pattern. Hu Caiping said.
