Geng Hongyan, a native of Shuyang, Jiangsu Province. He is a member of the China Artists Association, a member of the China Gongbi Painting Association, and the vice chairman of the Shuyang County Artists Association. He studied at the Suzhou Academy of Arts and Crafts, and in 2016, he entered the Fang Zhenghe Gongbi Flower and Bird Painting Advanced Seminar of the Beijing Academy of Painting. In 2019, he entered the traditional classic green landscape painting advanced research class of the China Academy of Art.
Geng Hongyan summed up her creation as "contrasting, combining, and integrating with each other". On the basis of traditional painting, she added non-traditional elements, formed contrasts and combinations, and added elements of other paintings on the basis of green landscapes, breaking the tranquility of the picture, and the elegant and soft painting style was instantly uneasy and restless, increasing the tension and turbulence of the picture.

Geng Hongyan originally studied in the art class of the county vocational middle school, and she was a very hard student at that time, because she had a dream of being a painter in her heart. But it is clear that the goal of an art class at a county-level vocational high school can never be a painter. As soon as she graduated from school, she was caught up in the torrent of decoration, in the field of glass carving decoration, she has an irreplaceable position in the local area, and the artistic painting glass she creates has become a proud highlight of many local home decorations.
Although the creation of art glass is not pure art, it is very exercised, and the long-term creation has trained Geng Hongyan's ability to not be afraid of cumbersome, accurate strokes and the ability to control large pictures, and also cultivated her sensitivity to various types of painting materials, which is of great benefit to her subsequent brush stroke creation.
