Wan Zheng, born in 1989 in Ningjin County, Shandong Province, graduated from the School of Fine Arts and Design of Hebei Normal University in 2014 with a master's degree under the tutelage of Professor Zhu Xinghua. He is a member of the China Artists Association, a researcher of the Youth Painting Institute of hebei academy of painting, and the deputy secretary-general of the Hebei Provincial Art Education Research Association, and is currently working at the Hebei Provincial Academy of Fine Arts.

At first glance, wanzheng, the shape is partial, not exciting; a little knowledge is slightly not good at words, does not like to be ostentatious, partial to quiet places, and even some are dazed, appearing wooden; familiar knowledge knows that it is hidden in the city, and the outside is foolish and admired, which can be described as a great wisdom if it is a fool. When Wan Zheng was in graduate school with me, he showed extraordinary talent in painting creation, although he did not express it, but he was very good at research, and from his behavior, he could see that he had a very clear goal, strong perseverance and a sharp heart for art. While he took creation as the center to drive his studies, researched and explored in practice, and enriched his artistic characteristics, a large number of works participated in the national exhibition, which made him quickly become the best among his peers and outstanding, and won the honorary title of national outstanding graduate student with extraordinary results.

The success of art is by no means smooth sailing, and the path taken by the artist needs to go through unusual difficult twists and turns, which is the fate of every artist, and no one can escape. Wan Zheng is one of the students who has made in-depth exchanges in my decades of teaching. I am relieved that after each exchange, I can always see the corresponding changes in Wan Zheng's paintings, indicating that he has carefully digested and formed practice.

After Wan Zheng stepped into the workplace, he paid more attention to creative practice, and from his paintings, it can be seen that he is doing two things. First, exploring your own formal language is very important for the formation of the Wanzheng style. Half of the beauty of painting comes from the painter's unique symbols and means, and the so-called "style is artistry" is the truth. From Wan Zheng's works at different stages, we can see that his hard work and dedication in this regard have reached a metamorphosis, a new one, and a bright light. Second, Wan Zhengzheng is experiencing in his creation that technology is not equal to art, and it can be seen from his paintings that he touches on the ultimate goal of Chinese painting - intentional expression. Intentionality is the core and soul of Chinese painting, and without intentionality, it is separated from the matrix of traditional Chinese culture, and it is difficult to say that it is a pure and correct Chinese expression. The previous exchanges I have made with Wan Zheng in this regard have shown his manifestations in practice, which is very positive and shows the progress of Wan Zheng's painting art.
