Why are children's art works valuable? The answer given by the "Dragon" Re-appearance - Beenji Art School's Zodiac Contest Exhibition and Students' Excellent Works Exhibition is: not to see "whether the painting looks like or not", but to see "whether the painting is interesting".
The exhibition, which is being held at the Big Stone Cultural and Creative Park, brings together nearly 300 paintings and calligraphy works, including outstanding works that stood out from the Year of the Dragon Zodiac Competition. Each work is the creative crystallization of the students, showing their exploration and expression of art.
"We are not nurturing future artists, we are nurturing future 'observers' and 'creators'. Art is a language that breaks down the boundaries of words and numbers, allowing children to explore the world and express themselves in a new way. According to the relevant person in charge of Beenji Art School, from 2010 to the present, the school has led more than 2,000 students into the art hall in the past 14 years, covering different age groups from 3 to 18 years old. Perhaps starting with graffiti on a piece of paper, or the touch of a paintbrush, children absorb the nourishment of art here, with a desire for art and an exploration of the unknown world. Many of them have been admitted to art schools and have made their mark in the field of art and design. "Art education is not only about teaching painting, our school philosophy is to use aesthetic education as the carrier and 'observation as the core' to cultivate children's self-confidence and healthy personality. ”
