On the eve of the Japanese surrender, Chiang Kai-shek's reactionary features were gradually exposed, and Guo Rugui became disgusted with him, and in April 1945, Guo Rugui finally contacted Dong Biwu, head of the Southern Bureau of our Party, and under the arrangement of the organization, he continued to work within the Kuomintang.
Later, Guo Rugui became the director of the Operations Department of the Kuomintang Ministry of National Defense, and the intelligence of the Kuomintang army was continuously sent to our army, and Guo Rugui made great contributions to the liberation war, and it was precisely in Huang Wei's eyes that Guo Rugui was a "traitor".
In his later years, Guo Rugui returned to Sichuan to settle down and enjoyed the treatment of deputy corps, unfortunately, on October 23, 1997, Guo Rugui accidentally died in a car accident halfway through a car accident while sending his daughter to the airport, at the age of 90, and a generation of red agents fell.
