Qin Cavity is an ancient folk art with strong regional customs, originating from the Gansu and Shaanxi regions of the mainland. Formed in Qin, refined in Han, Changming in Tang, complete in Yuan, mature in Ming, broadcast in Qing, is one of the oldest dramas in mainland China, known as "living fossils of opera".

In history, the Qin cavity can be divided into the Xifu Qin cavity and the Dongfu Qin cavity, showing different styles.

The Xifu Qin cavity style is high-pitched, rough and strong, and the actors use real voices to sing, and even there is a situation of roaring; while the Dongfu Qin cavity style is much gentler, the stage performance is delicate and exquisite, and its singing voice is full of soft charm. The Xinjiang Qin Cavity inherited the Xifu Qin Cavity.

The Qin Cavity took root in the Corps

In the Qing Dynasty, the Qin Cavity was introduced to Xinjiang with the migration of the population, and it has a history of more than two hundred years in Xinjiang.

In the 1950s, with the support of the state and the government, professional Qin opera troupes were established in many places in the Corps, among which the more representative Qin opera troupes were the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps Mengjin Qin Opera Troupe and the Beitun City Qin Opera Troupe of the Tenth Division.
