Wang Yizhi's husband is Zhang Tailei, an important leader in the early days of our party, she also lived in Li Dazhao's home, worked with Li Dazhao, also worked with Xiang Jingyu, the pioneer of the early women's movement, was still a classmate of the famous writer Ding Ling, and worked in the white area for 10 years under the direct leadership of Zhou Gong, and was very familiar with the chairman, Zhu Laozong, Qu Qiubai and others...
This pile of resounding names is enough to prove that Wang Yizhi joined the revolution early and his status was high.
Many people have seen the movie "The Eternal Airwaves" and are deeply impressed by the thrilling struggle between Li Xia and the enemy in the play, in fact, Li Xia's prototype is called Li Bai, and Li Bai was working under the leadership of Wang Yizhi at that time.
At that time, Wang Yizhi was ordered to pretend to be husband and wife with Gong Yinbing and established three secret radio stations in Shanghai, namely Li Baitai, Zheng Zhizhongtai, and Yang Jianshengtai, and under the siege of Japanese and Wang puppet agents, they used radio waves to build an "air bridge" between Shanghai and Yan'an.
Later, Li Bai's radio station was cracked by the enemy, Li Bai and his wife were arrested, Wang Yizhi was resourceful and calm at the critical moment, quickly organized the evacuation of the other two radio stations, and managed to rescue Li Bai.
In 1945, Zhou Gong accompanied the chairman to meet Wang Yizhi during the negotiations in Chongqing, and highly praised her achievements in Shanghai.
The night before the Signing of the "Double Tenth Agreement" between the Kuomintang and the Communist Party of China, the chairman proposed to see Wang Yizhi, and the staff thought that the chairman did not know anything about her, so they first wrote a resume of Wang Yizhi. ”

In view of Wang Yizhi's outstanding work ability and position in the party, in February 1949, the chairman, Zhou Gong and others specially received her, hoping that after the founding of New China, she would pick up another heavy burden and lead the work of women in New China.
However, this time, Wang Yizhi declined this arrangement, saying: "The motherland is liberated, I want to do the work of cultivating the next generation, and I hope to become a principal in the middle school." For this wish, Wang Yizhi later wrote to the central government several times, asking for approval.
Later, the central government approved her request to make her the principal of Wusong Middle School in Shanghai.
A year later, the central government again wrote to her for advice, asking her to take up a post in the Ministry of Education, but she again declined.
In 1977, Wang Yizhi returned to work, and when the organization once again asked her to take up an important position, she still refused, hoping to restore her position as principal.
In this way, the central authorities invited her to take up important posts three times, but she politely refused, and this kind of high style and bright festival that does not seek fame and fortune and is willing to be poor is really admirable!
As we all know, there is a famous 101 Middle School in Beijing, in fact, its original name was the Second Department of the Affiliated Middle School of Beijing Normal University, and the reason why it was renamed 101 Middle School was also Wang Yizhi's suggestion.
In 1955, Wang Yizhi was transferred to this middle school to work, and when the premier inspected, he proposed that all cadres and children should be mixed with the children of workers, peasants, and soldiers. ”
This proposal was quickly approved by the Ministry of Education, and the premier also wrote a special letter affirming Wang Yizhi's idea of running a school, and since then, the name of 101 Middle School has been called open, and it is still a key demonstration school in Beijing to this day.
For the sake of education in New China, Wang Yizhi worked until the age of 80 before leaving, and died in 1991 at the age of 90.
