Li Dazhao (October 29, 1889 – April 28, 1927), courtesy name Shouchang, was a pioneer of the Chinese communist movement, a great Marxist, an outstanding proletarian revolutionary, and one of the main founders of the Communist Party of China. Comrade Li Dazhao's lifelong struggle is closely linked to the history of the spread of Marxism in China, and he once shouted: "If you look at the world in the future, it will be the world of red flags."

There are many types of works left by Li Dazhao, ranging from improvised codexes and manuscripts to specially created couplets, fans, vertical frames, etc., as well as written Tang poems or self-composed poems distributed to friends.
Among Li Dazhao's surviving calligraphy works, the most famous is the "Iron Shoulder Magic Hand" lian, which takes the Fa Yan Zhenqing, thick, broad, bold, unrestrained ink, with a bold and subtle condensation with the pen, which is seen in the revolutionary responsibility and broad temperament.
Through the inkblot, we can glimpse Li Dazhao's awe-inspiring righteousness and his will to see death as a return.
The content of this couplet was composed by Yang Jisheng, a famous loyal and martyr advisor of the Ming Dynasty, who was brutally killed for his strong opposition to the castration party Yan Song, and Yang Jisheng wrote a famous couplet before his execution: Iron shoulders bear morality, and write articles with hot hands. This couplet almost became Li Dazhao's motto.
This couplet written by Li Dazhao is eye-catching, and the writing is really of a standard, it can be said that the soul of the Yan body inheritance is vividly reproduced, implicitly condensed, has the power to defeat the haze, and strives to turn the tide, it is difficult to imagine that Mr. Li Dazhao, who is not a professional calligrapher, is not a professional calligrapher. Seeing the literate people, it is not difficult for us to feel through this couplet that after his arrest, Li Dazhao was full of awe-inspiring righteousness in the face of the enemy's severe torture.
It is reported that more than 100 years ago, Li Dazhao wrote this couplet to send friends many times, encouraging colleagues and enlightening future generations.
