According to data from the China Automobile Association, from January to November 2021, domestic automobile production reached 23.172 million units, an increase of 3.5% year-on-year; completed sales of 23.489 million units, an increase of 4.5% year-on-year. At present, the total sales volume of the whole year is expected to reach 26.1 million units, and the market is expected to continue to rise next year, up 5.4% year-on-year to 27.5 million units.

After more than 60 years of development, China's automobile industry has grown from scratch, from small to large, and domestic brands have risen rapidly. A few days ago, the Brand Alliance released the "2021 Top 500 Chinese Brands" list, and a total of 21 brands in the automotive industry (including complete vehicles, parts and distributors) were listed. Distributed in 13 regions of the country, Guangdong has 4 brands, Beijing and Shanghai have 3 each, and Shandong has 2.

Ideal, Xiaopeng, Weilai, weima four new car-making forces on the list, brand value growth rate of more than 100%. Among them, Weilai increased the most, rising from 1.948 billion yuan to 7.919 billion yuan, improving 177 places in one go.

There are 5 car brands in the top 50 of the overall list. Gac Motor Group, ranked fifth in the industry, is headquartered in Zhujiang New Town, Tianhe District, Guangzhou, with its business covering vehicle (automobile, motorcycle) and parts research and development, manufacturing, automobile trading services, mainly including GAC Toyota, GAC Honda, and GAC Passenger Cars. As of last year, it has provided about 18.3 million cars and 16.8 million motorcycles to the society.

At the end of November, GAC Aegon officially started the listing process. From January to November this year, the cumulative terminal sales volume was 106985 vehicles, and the annual sales target of 100,000 vehicles was completed ahead of schedule. In November, single-month sales increased by 123% year-on-year to 14,566 units, ranking among the top in the new energy vehicle market.

Geely Holdings ranked fourth with a brand value of 47.767 billion yuan. In the face of the tide of new energy, Geely, which has won the first place in the sales of Passenger Cars of Chinese brands for four consecutive years, is obviously feeling the pressure. In the first half of the year, the sales volume of new energy vehicles was only 30,700 units, accounting for only 4.8% of the total sales volume (630,200 units), and the performance of Polestar, Geometry, Maple Leaf and so on was not satisfactory.

The launch of the delivery of Kr on October 23 became Geely's latest bet in the new energy market. In the first full sales month, the delivery of 2012 units was achieved. However, from the feedback of the first batch of users, there have been various problems such as "the wrong board", "configuration shrinkage", "disguised price increase", "reduced allocation door" and so on. Whether it will affect subsequent sales remains to be seen.

SAIC ranked third with a brand value of 48.159 billion yuan. China's highest-selling automotive group is actively promoting the commercialization of new energy vehicles and Internet cars. In addition to cooperating with Zhangjiang Hi-Tech and Ali to build Zhiji Automobile, at the end of October this year, the original R brand announced independent operation, and Feifan Automobile was born. The former will conquer the high-end and luxury markets, while the latter will focus on 200,000 to 400,000 yuan of high-end products, and jointly shoulder the heavy responsibility of the group's own brand "brand upwards, leapfrogging and standing".

There are two brands worth more than 50 billion yuan. BYD ranked second, with a cumulative sales volume of 509838 new energy vehicles from January to November this year, an increase of 216.97% year-on-year; a total of 91,219 units were sold in November, an increase of 241.77% year-on-year, becoming the top brand of new energy vehicle sales in China and continuing to refresh the single-month sales record.

Since the advent of BYD's DM-i super hybrid system this year, it can be said that it has sold a blockbuster one. According to Wang Chuanfu, at present, BYD's DM-i platform models have orders of up to 200,000 vehicles in hand, and the average delivery period has been as long as 4 months, which shows its popularity.

China FAW, the largest automobile brand in China, reached a brand value of 52.268 billion yuan, an increase of 18.8% year-on-year. Its predecessor was the First Automobile Manufacturing Plant, which opened the prelude to the preparation of new Chinese automobiles. At the end of the 1950s, the first domestic car, the Dongfeng CA71 sedan, was manufactured, ending the history of China's inability to produce cars. Immediately after, the first Hongqi brand high-end car was hand-built.

After more than 60 years of development, Hongqi has formed a diversified product matrix of sedan series (H5, H7, H9), SUV series (HS5, HS7), and new energy vehicle series (E-HS3, E-HS9, E-QM5), covering the high-end market of 150,000 yuan to 700,000 yuan. From January to November this year, the cumulative sales exceeded 261,400 units, an increase of 46.7% year-on-year.
