Zhang Xiaoxiang (1132-1170), also spelled An Guo, was a native of Wujiang, Anhui, and the first of the twenty-four years of Shaoxing. Although he lived for only thirty-eight years, many miracles have been passed down to this day.
(1) The temple test unexpectedly won the championship and unexpectedly refused to marry
Shi Zai Zhang Xiaoxiang was gifted and intelligent, "reading books and never forgetting, writing thousands of words in an instant." It is said that when he was a child studying in the summer of the bookstore, he heard the sound of frogs in the pond outside the window for a long time, and he couldn't help but get irritated, grabbed the brick platform and smashed it into the pool, and the frogs in the pool were suddenly silent. What is even stranger is that since then, there have been no frogs in the pond, and the pond has been renamed "Forbidden Frog Pond".
He was only eight buckets high, learned to be rich in five cars, and at the age of sixteen, he took the Zhongxiang examination, and he passed the pass all the way until he won the championship in the Golden Temple. Qin Jun, the great traitorous minister and chancellor of the dynasty, said strangely to him: You put first the text, calligraphy, and poetry of the strategy, and you have occupied the good things in the world.
Why did Qin Juniper treat him so sourly? To make a long story short, Zhang Xiaoxiang and Qin Huan's grandson Qin Xi were the students who took the exam together that year. Qin Juniper and his gang had already done a good job in black box operations, and Qin Huan successfully won the first place in the township test and the provincial test.
(Emperor Gaozong of Song)
In the last pass of the temple examination, they had already submitted the internal list to the emperor before the palace examination, and they planned to use the emperor's hand to go through the procedure and make Qin Xi a righteous leader. Although Zhang Xiaoxiang's reputation was as good as the sun, ranking him second, everyone did not dare to offend Long Yan.
As everyone knows, when the temple examination was held that day, Song Gaozong's spirit was particularly good, he did not go through the stages, and he became the chief examiner in the south and north, and Qin Xi still had a certain level, but the written music was nothing new, and the whole passage was a copy of the clichés of Grandpa Qin Ju and his father Qin Xi.
Song Gaozong looked at the back with no expression.
And Zhang Xiaoxiang's 14,000 words and strategies, "Answer the holy question, immediately say ten thousand words, and do not try to add points." Emperor Gaozong of Song picked up Zhang Xiaoxiang's handwritten manuscript and flipped it over and asserted: He "did not taste the manuscript, the pen was vigorous and healthy, and it was done in an instant, if it was inadvertent at first." "The calligraphy and paintings are vigorous, and the outstanding Yanlu will surely become famous in the world." The most important thing is that the article can pinpoint the shortcomings of the times, full of sincere patriotism and frank loyalty.
Emperor Gaozong of Song read the "great award" and praised "the discussion of Yazheng, the word Han Shuangmei", and finally abandoned the original internal plan of Qin Ju and his gang, "promoting Filial Piety as the first and demoting the third". Song Gaozong, who had always been deceived by Qin Jun, became a Hui Ming Jun this time and did a good thing.
The next day, after Emperor Gaozong of Song officially announced his rank at the Jiying Hall, the group had just walked out of the palace door, and the chancellor Cao Yong could not wait to stop Zhang Xiaoxiang, the new head of the new branch, and bowed down and said flattering words, meaning that he would give his daughter to him.
"The night of the cave flower candle, when the gold list is inscribed", it is not uncommon to say that "inviting relatives before the list" was not a rare thing at that time, and it can be said that a custom was formed. Not to mention The Yuanlang, as long as it is on the list, it can be said that marrying a daughter-in-law is far away. For disciples from a cold background, they can take this opportunity to step into high society. It's a good thing that everyone is happy about.
This XiaoXiang was so strange, in full view of everyone, he turned a blind eye to this "big pie" that fell from the sky, and only cared about going his own way, which made Cao Yong unhappy.
As we all know, Cao Yong was the brother-in-law and sworn enemy of the current prime minister Qin Juniper, and no one dared to offend him. Not taking his move not only blocked his way into the career. He also found a tough opponent to live with himself.
After the "shame of Jingkang", his father Zhang Qi was forced to leave his hometown with his family to avoid chaos and cross the south. The memory of his early years of escape made Zhang Xiaoxiang set up the ambition of "ambitious and far-sighted and recover the lost land" from below, and became a firm main war faction. What if Zhang Xiaoxiang, who is jealous and hateful, can join forces with the traitors and thieves?
(2) He has not been an official for a long time, but he has made outstanding achievements in politics
The toad palace folded the gui, so that Zhang Xiaoxiang deeply felt the grace of Song Gaozong's wisdom and talent, and strengthened his loyalty to the king and the heart of the country. Song Gaozong also admired his temperament and talent. Constantly promote him. But his loyalty was not to become an official, but to serve the country and save the country from fire and water.
Although peace had been maintained for twelve years since the signing of the Shaoxing Agreement at that time, the heart of the Jin Dynasty and the song dynasty had never died, and there had always been tens of thousands of male divisions on the north bank of the Yangtze River. And the Southern Song Dynasty? The imperial court was satisfied with a corner of peace, qin juniper's traitorous ministers held power, the stolen officials were arbitrary, the people were not happy, the state armament was abolished, the army discipline was sloppy, and the generals had no intention of making progress and shame.
Zhang Xiaoxiang believes that the top priority of the imperial court is to change its mind, unite the will of the people, and work together to overcome difficulties. Rehabilitating Yue Fei is precisely the best way to unify the thinking of the government and the public and to lift up the spirits.
Zhang Xiaoxiang presented a chapter and demanded that Yue Fei be rehabilitated.
(Yue Fei)
Zhang Xiaoxiang was not a rude person, but a man of strategy, and deliberately ignored the perpetrators of unjust cases in the song chapter, and repeatedly excused the emperor, focusing on rehabilitating Yue Fei and reversing Zhaoxue, "urgently restoring his lordship, showing his family," showing his loyalty, and broadcasting chinese and foreign affairs", so as to achieve the purpose of "seeing the soul of Zhongzhong in Jiuyuan and making justice known to the world".
No matter how the strategy is discussed, in the open and in the dark, it is actually scolding the bald donkey in front of the monk. Emperor Gaozong of Song was furious when he read the strike, but out of Zhang Xiaoxiang's bold loyalty, and possibly out of remorse for killing Zhongliang, he finally "gave preferential treatment" just to purify his ears and let Zhang Xiaoxiang take up his post. As everyone knows, Qin Juniper and his gang just happened to be under Zhang Xiaoxiang's "rotten medicine", and in the short period of more than ten years, they were relieved of their duties and frequently mobilized. Still, he made a difference.
When he was the governor of Fuzhou, once the local garrison was mutinied because of the arrears of military pay, and they went around robbing. Other civilian and military officials, Mingzhe, took refuge and hid without a trace. Zhang Xiaoxiang single-handedly rushed into the barracks, first to appease the mood of the rebels, and then to open a warehouse to distribute gold veils. During this period, he secretly observed and identified the instigators of the rebellion, arrested and ordered them to be beheaded, and soon stabilized the situation.
During the presidency of Pingjiang, there was a rich family named Hai Nang qiao in the local area, who did many bad things that hurt nature and reason. Zhang Xiaoxiang arrested him and punished him, and sealed his family's grain depot and confiscated tens of thousands of stones of grain millet. The following year, Wuzhong suffered a great famine, and the local people survived the famine by relying on these confiscated grains. Subsequently, floods flooded in eastern Zhejiang, and the people were not happy. Zhang Xiaoxiang went up twice and asked the imperial court to "not urge the two Zhejiang to accumulate debts", and the imperial court felt its love for the people and promised to reduce the relief, so that the victims of the disaster could survive.
Although he served as the pacification envoy of Jinghu North Road for only eight months, he still "built an inch of golden embankment, since Jingzhou was free of floods, and put ten thousand surplus warehouses to store the luck of all the cao", and the world highly praised him as "the sound of the six counties".
In 1163, the Song army suffered a tragic "defeat of Fu Yuan". The defeated soldiers led by Shao Hongyuan, the general of the defeated army, passed by "the city was empty, and the people of Wu were very afraid." Zhang Xiaoxiang took advantage of his friendship with Shao Hongyuan to send a letter of condolence, and bought hundreds of rice at his own expense to work with his father in the lake. Shao Hongyuan was trapped by the ceremony, and although he was unwilling and helpless, he had no choice but to lead his troops to leave Wuhu. The people of Wuhu were spared a catastrophe and were all grateful to Zhang Xiaoxiang.
It can be said that when Zhang Xiaoxiang went to any place to serve the people, he was deposed from his official position and lived idly, and he also tried every means to solve the people's worries and difficulties.
(3) The Emperor himself re-erected an inscription for him
Although this story comes from the history of the wild rather than the main history, the author believes that it is true.
It is said that Zhang Xiaoxiang personally inscribed the name of the pool for the Phoenix Pond under the Ciyun Ridge before his death. It was engraved into a wooden stele and painted in red, standing by the pool. The monks of the temple by the pool revered his character and carefully protected the wooden stele.
On this day, when the emperor's brother-in-law, Uncle Xia Guo, came and asked the monks to cook tea and prepare rice for him, and brought it to a small pavilion by the pool, so that he could enjoy the scenery while eating. He saw the wooden stele inscribed by Zhang Xiaoxiang, insisted that the writing was poorly written, and asked someone to pull out the wooden stele and replace it with the wooden stele with his inscription. The crowd dared to be angry and did not dare to speak, so they had to do so.
After some time, Song Xiaozong came here to play, and found that the words on the wooden stele by the pool had changed, not Zhang Xiaoxiang's, and when he asked, he knew that it was written by Uncle Xia Guo. Song Xiaozong was furious and personally cut down the wooden stele with an axe, and the people stepped forward to cut it, and soon the wooden stele became a pile of broken wood chips. Song Xiaozong asked again, where is Lord Zhang's monument? The monks hurriedly carried out from the temple the wooden stele with Zhang Xiaoxiang's inscription wrapped in red silk.
Song Xiaozong personally wiped the dust off the wooden stele and told everyone to stand up quickly and stand here forever, and no one could move. Later, this wooden monument and the clear water of the lake became a beautiful scenery here.
Zhang Xiaoxiang was a famous lyricist of the Southern Song Dynasty, his word style was magnificent and bold, and he was a representative figure of the "Haofang School", and his works such as "Yuhu Jushi Anthology" and "Yuhu Ci" were handed down. I have admired his words in my early years, and I would like to end this article with a passage of his "Nian Nu Jiao":
The grass in the cave garden is near the Mid-Autumn Festival, and there is no wind color. Yujian Qiongtian is thirty thousand acres, and I have a flat boat and a leaf. The moon is shining, the Ming River is shadowy, and the surface is clear. Leisurely heart will, the wonderful place is difficult to say with jun.
