Zhang Jianxun (1848-1919), zi jirui, yugu, no. 1 Yulu, a native of Lingui County, Guangxi. In 1889, he was awarded the title of Editor of the Hanlin Academy. In 1894, he was appointed as the chief examiner of the Yunnan Township Examination, and successively served as the Yunnan Xuezheng, the first Tixue Si Ti Xuezheng of Heilongjiang Province, and concurrently served as the civil envoy.

"Legend has it that since ancient times, the nine horses can be seen, and it is one of the thousands or even one in the thousands. It is said that The talents of Guilin, Zhao Guanwen, Wang Shize, Chen Jichang, Long Qirui, Zhang Jianxun, etc., all specially sailed the Li River before taking the exam, tried their eyesight and luck before going to the painting mountain, and they were able to come out of the nine sacred horses that hid their heads and tails one by one, and they all won the championship in one fell swoop.
Zhang Jianxun's hometown of Lingui County is a famous "hometown of Champions" in Guangxi. Since the opening of the scientific examination, Guangxi has produced a total of 9 champions, of which 5 are from Lingui, and there was once a saying of "one county eight soldiers, three branches and two champions".
Lingui people are brilliant, quite legendary is that when Chen Jichang, the last "three yuan and the first" of the imperial examination era, died, another champion Zhang Jianxun was born; coupled with Zhang Jianxun's cleverness since childhood, diligent and studious, such a coincidence naturally leaves people with a lot of space for association.
Zhang Jianxun was good at poetry and calligraphy, and his calligraphy was vigorous and powerful, which was not only praised by the Chinese people at that time, but also greatly impressed by the Japanese calligraphy community. Because he had visited Japan to study, he had a relatively close exchange with Japanese calligraphers, made some friends and maintained a simple friendship. In the poem "Gifting Jiazhi Gengxin", he wrote: "Dongying City hides the old books, and the seal method is finely studied and exaggerated." "He is the author of the "Discovery Valley Poetry Manuscript".
He wrote a poem with the title of "Song Gaozu Zhao Shuo", borrowing the allusion that Yue Fei was killed as "unwarranted", satirizing the incompetence of the Qing court and the historical consequences of the infamy:

Only if you know your heart, you can be famous for thirty years.
