Idioms that led me into the temple of literature

Chen Yi

For the way of literature, thousands of articles. However, there are very few people who walk into the door of literature, climb to the peak of literature, leave behind works that have been handed down to the world, and become masters of the literary world, and there are very few in real life. Most of them are literati, but they are only masturbating, pleasant, and nourishing. I was born in the countryside, grew up in the mountains, with thick skin and thick flesh, and vulgar temperament, so I have no connection with Ya. Looking back on my own writing experience, it began when I was a child, because of a casual sentence from my father.

One day, the family was having dinner, and my mother and sister were laughing because of a very ordinary thing, and I blurted out a sentence of "rare and strange"! My father stared at me for a few seconds, then gave me a thumbs up and said, "This idiom is well used!" It was my father's encouraging eyes, warm gestures and kind praise that made me have a strong interest in idioms, so that later when I was in junior high school, I saw my classmate Wan Mingyou's just-published "Small Dictionary of Chinese Idioms", which was extremely envious. After that, 20 cigarette packs were exchanged for a week's worth of loans. In the time and evening after school, under the dusk and the kerosene lamp, I copied down the entire book of 3,000 idioms in one stroke.

Every time I look at these 3,000 idioms copied by hand, I am excited, I can't let go, and I am very surprised. These idiomatic allusions are not only the essence of Chinese literature, but also the rich mine of Chinese culture. Time spans ancient and modern times, the content is broad and profound, the characters are varied, and the story is endlessly interesting. I am fascinated, wandering, and absorbing rich nutrients in the ocean of idioms; I trek, climb, and enjoy the infinite scenery in the world of idioms.

I remember when I was in military school, there were four idiom explanation questions in the paper, and I got a perfect score. There is a "terminally ill" idiom, and several test takers appear and ask me what I mean? I thought it was too simple, and it was incredible that they couldn't answer it. When I was in the company, I stood guard at night, looked at the sky and a bright moon, and immediately thought of the idiom "the moon has no ancient and modern", and I couldn't help but feel infinite emotion. Thinking of practicing assassination in the playground under the scorching sun during the day, idioms such as "sweat like rain", "killing sound", "galloping on the battlefield", "defending the family and defending the country" gushed out like spring water, so I created the debut work "Salt", which was published in the supplement of "Battle Flag Newspaper" on August 1, 1977. After reading the story of the older generation of revolutionaries Liu Shaoqi who mobilized workers in the White District to "hang their mouths like rivers" and wrote the article "Pen Walking the Dragon and Snake" at night, he wrote a poem "Monument to the Soul" and published it in Shanxi Daily on May 22, 1980. When I was a political theory teacher, I often taught myself late at night, and I didn't feel tired when I thought of the iron will and determination of the ancients to "hang their heads and thorns" and "elbow into a gizzard". During this period, I created my first short story "Morning Glory Flower" and the first essay essay monograph "Teaching Art Ramblings" (formerly published by Southwest Normal University Press), the novel won the first literary creation award of the General Logistics Department of the People's Liberation Army in 1980, and the monograph won the second prize of the annual teaching achievement of the former Logistics Engineering College.

Due to the needs of my work, I worked as a full-time press officer in the former Logistics Engineering College for 10 years, and I liked the profession of "uncrowned king" and "Hanmo Chunqiu", setting a record of publishing 376 news works and breaking the mark of 1,000 news works published annually. However, as a party to the country's first infringement case, I have made low-level mistakes and learned profound lessons. Of course, "it is not too late to make up for the dead sheep" and "shame and courage". The best option to make up for mistakes is to work hard and make achievements. In that year, I published more than 10 theoretical articles in guizhou philosophy and social sciences and other magazines; the research article won the first prize of the general logistics department and the political work of the whole army; the reportage was included in the large-scale reportage series of "Contemporary Military Style"; the feature film "Under the Illumination of the Spirit of Hongyan" was popular by the "People's Children and Soldiers" column of CCTV; and the reportage collection "I Will Seek From Top to Bottom" edited by the editor-in-chief was published by Chongqing Publishing House. On February 20, 1988, Chongqing Daily also reported on my deeds under the title of "Information Officer Chen Yili Meritorious Service Award".

Feeling the vicissitudes and warmth of the world, the goodness and evil of human nature, the beauty and pain of life, I have created and published many works such as "Fun Life", "Role", "Peasants Entering the City", "God Fishing", "Jokes" and many other works, which have been well received. The novel "Joke" took half a year to write, but the idea and concept took at least a few decades. It is really "full of absurd words, a handful of bitter tears". Mr. Huang Jiren, a famous writer and honorary chairman of the Chongqing Writers Association, gladly wrote the preface, and he used the title of "What is Life" to explain that life should not be a lie, should not be a fable, and should not be a joke. The distinguished teachers Xu Dali, Wang Mingkai, Professor Jiang Dengke and well-known writers Zhou Pengcheng and Chang Ke have also written commentaries to give great encouragement, which makes me extremely grateful. In particular, the seminars on special works sponsored by the Chongqing Writers Association and the Chongqing Public Security Literary Association in 2015 and 2021 are both affirmations and praises for me, as well as encouragement and encouragement. "Mei Kai twice" is rare in Chongqing's literary circles. The two high-level seminars allowed me to appreciate the style and sincere teachings of literary masters, let me feel the spring and spring of the Chinese and Chongqing literary circles, and let me drink nectar like a spring breeze! The chongqing evening news night rain supplement and the chongqing legal newspaper clear supplement these intoxicating fragrant gardens, brought me and my literary friends a colorful cultural and literary feast, to the Chongqing literary circle has brought a garden full of spring colors!

"To be loud and distant is not to take advantage of the autumn wind." The idiom is a winding staircase, which leads me step by step to ascend to the far horizon, watching the rivers stirring, the big waves and sands; watching the chaotic clouds flying across, the vicissitudes of the sea; seeing the variety of life, feeling the taste of life... Literature is a clever hand that lights up people's hearts, it purifies people's hearts and opens their hearts. And the work is the blossoming flower and fruit of literature, which is the spiritual food that people must not leave.

This is the power of literature! That's the charm of the classic!
