Not long ago, the long-form reportage "Jiang Rulian" was released in Beijing. At the symposium held at the same time, a number of experts and scholars gave detailed interpretations of the structural framework and textual characteristics of Jiang Rulian, and conducted in-depth discussions on its literary value, rich connotation and significance of the times.

"Jiang Rulian" is a long-form reportage that systematically and comprehensively describes the construction of ecological civilization on the Lijiang River from the perspective of history and humanities. Ren Linju, a well-known writer, set out from Mao'er Mountain and went deep into more than 30 villages in the Lijiang River basin to conduct field investigations, and wrote the "Guilin story" in the Lijiang River basin in terms of wildlife protection, forest fire prevention, ecological protection and economic development.

Li Jingze, vice chairman of the Chinese Writers Association and secretary of the Secretariat, believes that "Jiang Rulian" is a very successful specimen, which reflects how the writers of our time have constructed a grand vision and writing strategy in the non-fiction and documentary writing of this era.

The literary qualities of the work were one of the main points of discussion that day. Xu Jian, president of the China Reportage Society, said that "Jiang Rulian" not only depicts the situation of the world's best landscape, but more importantly, it also shows the culture, history and customs of the Li River, and describes the picturesque landscape and ecology of the Li River for us.

Bai Ye, honorary president of the Chinese Contemporary Literature Research Association, believes that "Jiang Rulian" is very rich in content, writing about the mountains and water of the Li River in the way of scenery, and also writing about the staff of the reserve, local farmers, painters, photographers, and reporters in the way of character chronicles.

Referring to "Jiang Rulian", Ding Xiaoyuan, vice president of the China Reportage Society, said that the basis of the writing of this work is located at the grassroots level, and the people are the people-centered, through the depiction of the flow of the relationship between man and nature, human life and the change of concepts, to reflect the history and reality of the construction of ecological civilization in the Lijiang River Basin.

Ding Xiaoyuan said that at the same time, Ren Linju wrote "Jiang Rulian" with prose penmanship, which generated the literary quality of this work, and the free opening and closing of the prose made this work rich and full, avoiding the disadvantages of reportage writing pattern and type. (ENDS)
