At the same time, the road test spy photos of the new model of Weilai have also been exposed, and it can be seen from the body positioning that it belongs to the Weilai car, and the tail lights in the trailer indicate that the car adopts a through-through design.
According to the exposure information, THE NIO ET5 will be built based on the NT2.0 platform, with a length or between 4800mm-4900mm, and a wheelbase or between 2800mm-2900mm, which will be a crossover between cars and SUVs.
From the model positioning, WEILAI ET5 will be a strong enemy of Tesla Model Y, and continue the luxury and design of Weilai, it is expected to adopt the second generation of NIO digital cockpit technology, will have 5G network, V2X, WiFi6, Bluetooth 5.2, UWB and other vehicle mobile Internet and communication capabilities.
In terms of power, it is expected that NIO ET5 will be equipped with NIO's second-generation electric drive system, referring to NIO ET7, which will use a 180kW front permanent magnet synchronous motor + 300kW rear induction motor, the system comprehensive power is 480kW, and the peak torque is 850N·m. In addition, NIO's latest Urban Pilot Assisted Driving Function (NAD) is also expected to be installed on the NIO ET5.
The price information of the car has not been disclosed, but WEILAI currently does not have a model below 300,000 yuan, so the starting price of the car will also be above 300,000 yuan.
