This couplet uses two allusions from Confucius and Confucius's students.
At that time, Confucius was in the country of Qi, heard the music of "Shao", was very moved, and could not taste the taste of meat for a long time. Confucius said: "I can't imagine that the beauty of the music of "Shao" has reached such a fascinating point." ”
Xialian's "One Scoop Can Win Qiong Pulp" refers to Confucius's student Yan Yuan, that is, the story of Yan Hui's poverty and happiness.
The Analects record that Confucius praised Yan Hui: "Xianzha Huiye, a piece of food, a scoop of drink, in the dark alley, people are overwhelmed, and they will not change their happiness." ”
So combining the whole couplet, we can feel that this couplet not only tells us to be poor and happy, but also to think more.
If we find something that we really strive for, we can be like Confucius and Yan Hui, who do not know the taste of meat and are very obsessed; we do not calculate gains and losses, and we are still full of energy.

2nd Couplet: Frugality early; avoid the year of indifference.
It is said that in ancient times, there was a poor scholar who was lazy. He is a bachelor who spends money directly on weekdays and has no intention of saving money.
At the time of the New Year, other people's homes are full of big fish and meat, and they put on a hearty meal.
However, the poor students' families did not have anything, and they barely managed to make up some rice, even if it was the New Year.
In order to deceive himself and avoid being laughed at by his neighbors, the poor scholar also posted a Spring League on his door: "Do frugal things; live a year of indifference." ”
When the neighbors around saw this Spring League, they all laughed and thought that the poor students were "dying for face".
Everyone is a neighbor, who doesn't know that the reason why this poor student is so poor is not his own work?
A good person took a brush and added a word to the poor student's original spring league.
Thus, the Spring League became: "Do frugal things early; avoid the year of indifference." ”
This change means very different things. This is to warn students that they should not spend money on weekdays, so that the New Year can be more abundant and there is hope for the coming year.
The student was ashamed to see that his couplet had been changed and to hear the laughter of his neighbors.
The so-called shame and courage, poor students began to become frugal, began to become diligent, and finally got a daughter-in-law, lived a rich and prosperous life.
The 3rd couplet: Moon Moon Moon Ming, August Moon Bright Moon Bright Moon Bright Moon
This couplet is very learned and very interesting.
The upper link is directly three months, and the lower link is directly three more, but in fact, the same word has different meanings, cleverly using the characteristics of Chinese characters, with a unique aesthetic taste.
The 4th couplet: Aoki Ping asks a few more green trees; Kuroda Shop is not necessarily all Kuroda.
In ancient times, there was a prodigy who went to the "Kuroda Shop" to play. There was a show that had heard that this little prodigy was good at pairs, so he came out of the prodigy of the upper joint examination.
