Regarding the "proficient six Chinese languages", in fact, in the time of Confucius, there were no "six Chinese languages" in the modern sense. At that time, the language was mainly the difference between the dialects of various countries, and there was no completely independent "language". As a native of Lu, Confucius used Mandarin or Yayan, the standard language of the time, which was also the language he used to communicate and teach. Therefore, to say that Confucius was "proficient in the six Chinese languages" simply meant that he was able to communicate with people from different regions in Yayan, the common language of the time.
