As a treasure of traditional Chinese culture, Han portrait art reproduces all aspects of social life in the Han Dynasty by means of realism and romanticism, vividly conveys the etiquette culture, beliefs and customs of the Han Dynasty people, and even the traditional Chinese spirit of life and filial piety, etc., and still exudes a strong artistic charm and life atmosphere.
Jining is a big city of cultural relics, rich in cultural relics, especially the Han monument, Han portrait stone as the most, the Han monument collection in the territory of the country first, more than 2,000 Han portrait stones, the content is all-inclusive, known as "the world Han monument half Jining, Jining Han painting in the world" said. The "Luli" culture engraved by Han monuments and Han paintings records the unique spiritual identity and high-quality genetic endowment of the Chinese nation, and is the source of China's excellent traditional culture. The exhibition selects more than 40 pieces of Han monuments and Han portrait stone rubbings from the collection of Jining Museum, covering historical stories, myths and legends, production and life, auspicious birds and beasts, etc., and opens a window for the audience to understand the humanistic history of the Han Dynasty and portrait stone art from the perspective of Han monuments and Han paintings.
It is hoped that through the exhibition, we will explore a new path for the dissemination and popularization of the excellent traditional Chinese culture, inherit the "root" and "soul" of the Chinese nation, and add new vitality to the creative transformation and innovative development of the excellent traditional Chinese culture.
"Rites Out of the East - Confucius and Lu Li Culture Rubbing Exhibition on Han Portrait Stones" is located in the calligraphy and painting exhibition hall on the first floor of Pingliang Museum, and the exhibition period is from May 14 to July 31, 2024.
