Therefore, Zhang San imitated the ancient Minglian "the sound of wind and rain reading, the sound of reading, the sound of the ear; family affairs, state affairs, world affairs, everything is concerned", and came up with a wonderful uplink: "The sound of pine and bamboo bells chimes, the sound is free." ”
Shanglian highlights the sounds around the temple and expresses Zhang San's feelings about visiting the monastery through sound.
Although the shanglian does not depict the shape and architecture of the temple, through the three voices, the simple description gives the person a sense of immersion.
Xiucai Li Si was not willing to show weakness, and according to Zhang San's upper association, he made a wonderful lower link: "The mountains and waters are smokey and the colors are empty." ”
"Emptiness is color, and color is emptiness." Color and voidness are the more famous theories of Buddhism.
Xialian starts through the scenery of nature, and uses the scenery to express the Zen principle of "color is emptiness", which not only makes people feel the beauty of the scenery, but also makes people feel the preciousness of Buddhism.

The boatman said to the student, "I have an uplink, and if you go out of the lower link, the cost of the boat ride will be free." If you can't get out of the next link, then you have to pay double the ship money, how? ”
Of course, Shusheng agreed, thinking to himself, "Isn't this to save me money?" That's great! ”
The boatman was full of smiles and came out of the upper link, which borrowed the "harmonic" technique and had a pun on it.
The "zhou" harmonic "zhou" in Shanglian means that Confucius was a person who spent the Eastern Zhou Dynasty.
At the same time, "Confucius" can be understood as "small hole", and the end of the boat can be understood as "the end of the ship".
The uplink then has another explanation, there is a small hole in the end of the ship, which shows that this uplink is still very difficult.
However, as a reader, the student will naturally not make it difficult for the boatman.
Shusheng smiled and said, "Guangwu started from Hanzhong." ”
Guangwu is the Han Guangwu Emperor Liu Xiu, and Hanzhong is a place name, which means that Liu Xiu developed from Hanzhong.
At the same time, the harmonic sound of "guangwu" and "light dance" can be understood as the light in the sky, and "Han" can be understood as "heavenly river, galaxy".
Therefore, the lower link is also a pun, which can be understood as "the light in the sky begins from the Milky Way".

The 3rd couplet: Cloud lock mountain, which spike dares to come out; the sun wears the leaky wall, this bare stick is difficult to take.

The county grandfather looked at the scholar and felt some sympathy in his heart, but he also accepted the rich man's money, and it was not good for the scholar to explain to the rich man.
Therefore, the county grandmaster thought of a way to have the best of both worlds, and said to the student: "This county will give you an uplink, and if you come out of the lower link, it will let you go home." If you can't get out of the next link, then you will be locked up for three months! ”
The county master's shanglian pun said on the surface that the clouds were too big, and no mountain could penetrate the clouds.
At the same time, there is also a subtext in shanglian, which is to say that the rich man has money and power, and firmly eats the students, and the students cannot escape the disaster of imprisonment.
Who knows that the student immediately came out of the lower link: "The sun wears the leaky wall, this bare stick is difficult to take." ”
The lower link is also a pun, and writes the awe-inspiring gesture of the student in a witty and humorous tone.
On the surface, the lower link is also talking about natural things, saying that the daylight passes through the wall, and everyone sees the daylight, but they can't catch the daylight.
The subtext is that the student is a "bare stick", the barefoot is not afraid to wear shoes, not afraid of the local rich man's retaliation, not so easy to let the local rich man succeed.
The county grandfather slapped the case and exclaimed: "The next link is wonderful, shusheng is acquitted!" ”
The rich man looked helpless, and could only watch the students grow up!
4th couplet: The leaves fall and the branches dry, see how the bare sticks turn out; the knife cuts the axe, and the governor also has to uproot.
It is still the same story, it is said that the rich man watched the scholar grow up, and his heart was so angry that he almost fainted.
After returning home, the rich man thought in his heart: "This county master is really inexplicable, ruining my good deeds!" I didn't believe it, I couldn't subdue this poor student. ”
Therefore, the rich man entrusted the people to send gifts, contacted the governor, and told the original version of his vendetta with the scholar.
The Governor General received a large amount of gold and silver treasures from the rich man, and naturally he also had to contribute some effort. Therefore, the governor sent someone to arrest the scholar and take him to the governor's gate.
The governor said to the student, "I heard you're good at pairing?" This officer has an upper link, and if you are right against the lower link, I will let you go. If you can't get out of the league, then you go to jail. ”
Then the governor came out with this link: "The leaves fall and the branches dry, and see how the bare sticks bear fruit." ”
This uplink is also a pun, literally, it means that the tree has lost its leaves, its branches have withered, and it has become a bare trunk, and it is impossible to bear fruit.
The subtext is that you don't call yourself a "single stick"? Now that I have sent someone to arrest you and take you to the Governor's Gate, what else do you have to say? Wait for the prison meal!
The Governor was triumphant, believing that his upper link was so exquisite that the scholar could never think of a lower link.
Who knows, Shusheng is really talented, he shook his head, smiled and said: "I have thought of the next link, I am afraid that the Governor General will be angry and dare not say it." ”
The governor did not believe that the scholar could join the lower league, and waved a big hand: "You say it casually, and this officer will not blame you." ”
Shusheng then said the next link: "The sword cuts the axe, and even the governor must uproot." ”
The lower surface of the "Governor" is to say that a tree is "cut with a knife and axe", and the final "total rhizome" must also be pulled out.
In fact, it means that if the governor acts recklessly, knows the law and breaks the law, and forcibly convicts the scholar, then the governor will inevitably be "slashed and chopped with a knife" in the end.
When the governor heard this, he felt that what the scholar said was still reasonable, and he could not afford to lose his future because of such a scholar.
Therefore, the governor could only release the student, and said falsely: "Your next link is too wonderful, you go back!" ”
Then the governor also sent some coils to the students, hoping that the students would forget all the unpleasantness.
When the rich man in his hometown learned the news that Shusheng had once again been acquitted, he was furious and depressed, and directly had a serious illness, which made the people laugh!
