This followed up with our "Explanation of Words and Words" course. This lesson talks about the two Chinese characters of the "廾" section: "龏、弈". Among the two characters, "Yi" is relatively common, so the key Chinese character in this lesson is "Yi". The idiom "Game Ofe" is an idiom that contains the word Yi, which is detailed in the entry for the word "Game". The details of the two words are as follows:
1. Caries. There are two pronunciations:
(i) gōng. This is the pronunciation of the Zhonghua Book Company's Zhuyin edition of the Shuowen Jiezi, and the explanation given is: "龏, 慤 (pronounced què) also." From the bow, the sound of the dragon. "Shape sound word. The original meaning is to be respectful.
Gao Hongjin's "Ode Instrument Examination Interpretation": "Gong Zi Chu originally made a gong, from 廾, dragon sound." After '廾' became 'Gong', there was a Gong character, and the meaning was not different. After the Qin Dynasty, there are Gong characters, from the heart, to the same sound, the sound meaning is still the same. Duan Yujie's "Notes on the Interpretation of Words in The Sayings": "The Heart Part says: 慤, Beware. This is the same as the "Heart" gongyin. That is to say, this word is exactly the same as the "Gong" in the Heart, and the pronunciation and meaning of the word are exactly the same.

In addition to the original meaning, there is another use of "龏": liter. "Jade Chapters and Tsutomu": "龏, Shengye." ”
(b) wò. This pronunciation is from "Guangyun". Candleshade. The candlelight was obscured. "Guangyun Jueyun": "Kou, candle cover." ”
There are no examples of application in the various usages.

2. Yi. Read yì. The explanation given in the "Explanation of Words" is: "Yi, Go also." From 廾, also sound. The Analects says, "Is there no gamer?" The original meaning of the word is Go. Note that the "game" of this game of chess is different from the "Yi" of the exuberant" and the sound of the same form and close meaning, in ancient books, often mixed, pay attention to the distinction, two words, one from "廾", one from "big", in the process of "subordination", many words of the "廾" part is subordinated to "big".

The Analects quoted here refer to the Analects of Yang Goods: "Is there no gamer? For this, it is still wise. "Meaning: Isn't there a game of Go? It's better to be dry than to be idle. This sentence of Confucius in the Analects later developed into an idiom "game juxian", to understand this idiom, we must pay attention to the context of its origin, Confucius means that the people who play chess in the world are leisurely but also have to be careful, which is much stronger than those who are full of food all day long. Therefore, this idiom is mostly used to exhort people not to eat and do nothing all day.
In addition to the original meaning, there are other uses of yi:
(1) Play chess. "Zuo Chuan Xianggong Twenty-five Years": "Now Ningzi regards the king as inferior to playing chess, why should he not be bothered?" The player is undecided, not able to overcome the coupling, and the king is determined? Du pre-note: "Yi, Go also." "Spring and Autumn Left Transmission of Justice": "Chess is a son, and it is called Go." "Now that Ningzi doesn't look at the monarch as a chess move, how can he be spared from disaster?" A man who plays chess cannot defeat his opponent if he is undecided, and what about placing the monarch and not being able to decide?

Mencius Zhizi Shang: "Make Yi Qiu teach the two to play." "Let Yi Qiu teach two people to play Go." YiQiu is a personal name, and the latter game refers to playing chess. Note that when the meaning of "playing chess" is used, it does not refer specifically to Go.

(2) Tired. "Chinese Zhou Yushang": "Yi (now Ben Duozuo 'Yi') is virtuous in the world, and does not honor his predecessors." "It is to cultivate virtue for generations, and not to dishonor the ancestors." Li Bai's "Send cen Zhengjun back to Minggao Mountain": "The world is full of dragons, and the middle stage is dismantled three times." ”
(3) Beauty. "Guangyun Xiyun": "Yi, beauty." "Wenxin Carved Dragon Cailuo": "Zhang Hua's short chapter, Yiyi Qingchang." Zhang Hua's xiaofu is beautiful and fresh and smooth.
(4) Worrying appearance. "Shih-Ya Kuǐ)弁": "I have not seen a gentleman, and I am worried about Yiyi." Seeing the gentleman, Shu Ji said yi. "I have never seen a gentleman's face, and it is really difficult to be worried. Having seen the gentleman's face, there is joy and no sorrow.

(5) Large. "Tai Xuan Ge": "The gold is destroyed, and the small game is played." Fan Wang's note: "Yi, Daiya." Sima Guangji's note: "Wang Yue: 'The one who takes the interest is gold, the one who destroys the stone, the one who loses is the smallest, and the one who gains is great.'" ’”
(6) Account. Yi Zhou Shu Wang Hui: "The Meeting of Cheng Zhou, Zhang Chiyi Yin Yu on the altar." Kong Chao's note: "Yi, account also." "The princes of the Chengzhou Dynasty hung red tents on the altar and decorated them with black feathers.
